apk is like exe installer for android. A setup file used to install apps. Thats all. Nothing to do with rooting in a way

you can easily extract the rom using dsxida kitchen from xda. but for the moment it only can extract for i9100g.. i have tried to compile back..but always unflashable.

odin with stock firmware : OK
odin with custom rom/kernel : Binary Counter increased.

why? odin is official app from samsung which even used by them. so only stock rom is allowed to be flashed without messing with binary counter/yellow triangle

nope.cause the kernel name normally do not contain the name of the rom. what u see KJ2 is the rom name. not kernel. and that is normal considering u are running KJ2 rom with KL3 kernel

but from as i know, normally people use cwm to flash it..or sometimes ADB..depends on the knowledge level

yep, different? didnt i said it for receiving sms..but if u have another one like go sms or handcent, u can totally remove it with TB. But any sms app will be running on background to ensure no sms loss.

flash it using ktool

there are many options out there but one of the famous one right now is "betterbatterystats" from xda.
u can see idle app and also wake app.

u just need to flash back totally stock using odin.

nope. stock rom can only be flashed using odin or kies update.
if u backed up before, sure u can restore the backup using cwm

yes, u can flash any rooted KL3 kernel using ktool. there are no issues of compatibilities between both KJ2 and KL3
btw just to give an example :

i am using KK1(UAE version) rom with superatmos 2.1 kernel (KL3)

btw if u can wait, both manish (galaxrom dev) and homam ageel (juffo) are developing new rom right now, maybe should be out in 2-3days. but it is a big maybe..lols

GPS in samsung devices is theoritically all very bad.
U need to always use GPS Status
or better
U need to have 3G data connection. This will help a lot
