QUOTE(babybaby1988 @ Sep 3 2012, 10:36 PM) thanks guys for clearing the doubts on ingress/digress limitation on this router.. i have another question. My area is covered by DC-HSDPA. If a 28.8Mbps modem can achieve only 10Mbps speed in my area, will I be able to achieve, say for example, 15Mbps by getting a 42Mbps modem. I am split between a Huawei E367 and E372 to be used on this router. Thanks If your place is DCHSPA+ covered, a DC HSPA+ modem only will make full use of the dual carriage data But for sure, need to consider congestion factor, but with E367 it can go up to 10mbps, its good to upgrade

QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Sep 5 2012, 04:01 PM) yea it is as equal to tl-mr3420 V1.2 support LTE,.. even huawei E392 My 1043ND currently support E398 Everything better than the prolink except for the "Easy configuration setup for home user" In fact I done some research found all all linux based 3G router share the same driver package, just depend whether the manufacturer willing to upgrade the firmware or not This post has been edited by blacktubi: Sep 5 2012, 04:49 PM

QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Sep 5 2012, 04:56 PM) just though why not open the whole top cover easier ? instead of drilling / melting hole ? The router use the main cover to hold the structure in place, need some strong support to prevent it from falling since its placed vertically

QUOTE(digilife @ Sep 5 2012, 05:09 PM) use a Cat6E Lan cable, you can see the difference and yes ,, take away the heat generated will greatly improve the performance...........i gonna find a wat to fix my router near my air-cond blower as air cond air is Nitrogen cooled and its dry too btw, is this 1043ND still available in the market now? Cat6E.. Hmmm... Depends lorh, I don't think I need such sophisticated hardware, my last 100mbit internet project for a school use Cat5E only. Nothing much I can do for now Maxis tower in my location is down already 1043ND is still available

QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Sep 12 2012, 11:44 PM) i believe whatever stuff you buying it is also depends on luck too, my TL_MR3420 was working fine as from day 1, and there is this inccident my TL-MR3420 drop to floor from very high woofer shelf on wall, only my E372 is kaput and my TL-MR3420 was fine still after that,.. Really depends on luck, my 1043ND dropped from on top of the household electric switchboard several time, still working. Anyway, I submitted a report to TP-LINK, hope they are aware about this issue

QUOTE(digilife @ Sep 13 2012, 02:51 PM) This is the reply i got from them when i query about how soon they will send me the item " Hi,
Your order xxxxxxxx is yet to arrive from our warehouse. We are in the mid of processing your order, will update to you once the item arrive and ready to ship. We will update you with the tracking number once we sent your item.
As our valued customer, your satisfaction is always our primary concern.
Thank You." Niama, seems like, they look like a scammer Guy, better dun place your order as for now Let me be the scape goat first..... Superbuy is something like middleman, they rarely keep the stock, that's why caused some problem like this

QUOTE(totally_skint @ Sep 18 2012, 09:34 PM) I heard from friend that a lot of IT shops in Low Yat has closed and their space taken over by handphone shops. Is this true? Yes, taken over by those camera and handphone shops as more and more people buying from internet nowadays but nothing rival LYP price And the ease of RMA Haven't got my faulty MR3420 RMA-ed until now

QUOTE(BladeRider88 @ Sep 19 2012, 01:32 PM) Actually i wan stability and i used to custom firmware. Is the OpenWRT stable enough? Added on September 19, 2012, 1:34 pmHey bro I just tested a Huawei E372 with Asus RT-N13U B1..it is working fine. Just make sure the firmware is the latest. Not very stable with 3G as there's no native 3G support until now Sometime the 3G modem "hang" or disconnected need power cycle to reconnect. Rebooting wont help This post has been edited by blacktubi: Sep 19 2012, 04:16 PM
