Hi guys,
I just had my unifi VIP 5 installed two days ago. I had this snail like speed this two days and I have read quite a number of threads saying that using the TM default router will face this same problem.

I am just wondering if I were to change the router to another router, will I be able to solve this problem?

Thank you smile.gif
*
Wrong thread, this is Maxis thread

TM DIR-615 known for performance issue, consider upgrade to 1043ND / Asus Unifi Series / Mikrotik

But is the 4G support in firmware or hardware or both?
*
It's just a driver package and some modification on the code
Whether TP-Link want to release or not we don't know

But base on past record, TP-LINK excel in customer support, they even release a firmware update just to cater Malaysia Unifi

No people knows whether TP-LINK want to release it

Since 4G support just need some change in the script for the connection protocol + drivers in the router

Your router having ethernet output right.
Take a ethernet cable, plug it in the ethernet output to MR3420 WAN input

Then go MR3420 webui
Network > Internet Access > WAN Only

Thanks. smile.gif

Btw, I want to limit the connection of WiFi to 15 connections; means  that only 15 people can have access to my WiFi, through MAC address filtering. Is it only to set up the MAC address filtering and all is set? What about people who trying to connect and try and try and try... since they will see the network is left without password, do their attempt of connecting to the network will make the network congested?

Since I'm about to set up a connection using this router like the situation above, I'm worried about the heat generated by the router during the peak hours... plus it will be equipped with a signal booster and metteor yagi 3g antenna. Do they affect my network setup?

p/s: sounds impossible for those devices to interrupt the connection, but I'm preparing for the worst.

Try DHCP limits, but it may won't work very well

They should be a setting for wireless client limitation

Yes, use a fan or modify your modem with some ventilation hole

I think you is another people like me having defective WiFi on a MR3420 yet my seller refused to RMA for me and insisted I need to RMA myself.

I am very frustrated dealing with their distributor as well, if things go bad, I gonna file some dispute as irresponsible seller.
