QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Nov 11 2012, 08:24 PM) well i am just trying to prove a point : no fight la Chuah,u are using Cat6 cable + stock firmware so i am using Cat5e ( 7.5meter ) + TL_MR3420 V1 stock firmware + ZTE MF680 result : no spikes in speedtest,. [attachmentid=3150769] Ping Test : [attachmentid=3150771] Your RSSI = -55, mine RSSI = -93d How to compare, like the canto sayings goes "to compare a Mosquitoe with a Cow". You are like Manchester United FC and I am like Liverpool FC Btw, you reverted back to stock firmware before i brought out the Cat6e cable to discuss, why you dun like OpenWRT ? |

QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Nov 11 2012, 08:38 PM) why dont u do a test like me with your so called Cat6 or Cat6e cable ? no point to argue with you , i cannot challenge you as your area have far much better signal than me, but i can say that even though my signal sucks compared to yours, i can get better ping with a cat6e cable on sucky signal.oh the stock firmware i flash it back to prove a point to you ma, ia m pro in flashing, now it is back to openwrt I dun lie, its in my screenshots, ping of 27, can you touch so low with wat ever patpou that you have over there coupled with RSSI of 55~65, E372,Mf680, OpenWRT, Antenna, Cooler pad, fan, Naked modem, 5 Towers in front of your window ? I am trying to prove that without all those in my area, i still managed to get Ping of 27, why? Just 3 basic things, HW550,MF680 and Cat6e Cable on the RSSI of 93 and Low Signal |

QUOTE(ralph_d @ Nov 12 2012, 05:34 PM) yea since u have another router, do thiseven my old wireless router (aztech 150mbps wireless-n, don't have 3g) is wayy hotter than this. but my modem still very hot disable WiFi on mr3420 V2, LAN out via cable into WAN of the Aztech, enable WiFi on Aztech, monitor your connection and see how good is it. by doing the above, the V2 is using the full power on the modem ( meaning optimum signal sucking ) then the wifi output is managed by the second router , meaning it wont stress the V2's power on Wifi distribution as the WiFi distribution is done by the second router which have its own power supply let us knoe your result thanks |
