Not sure about the technical or differentiate, but N8 camera is less smooth, maybe due to the OS also. It's faster the previous Nokia cameras but slower than iPhone. The N9 on the other hand offers comparable speed and ease of use.
Tomorrow will be 'disqualified', better rush to submit today.

Not just write, they need to write according the the "criteria" somemore, which generate points, the more "stuffs" the more points. So, in other words, if you really want to win, you need to pass to someone who can write well or already familiar with these kind of writing, taking photo, videos, etc. The more this type of people you know the better; Moreover, if you want volume, they can only test in shorter time-frame to get more volume.
Quantity or Quality?
It also means, need to pass to more "famous" people and people who knows about smartphone; instead of letting anyone interested to enjoy (regardless they're using normal phone or smartphone), which I think should be the proper way, to let people experience and provide their own feedback and comment without any criteria.

Another thing to worry is, to make sure they take good care of the phone... regardless need to return Or keep.
*
As for the second part, the only thing I am worried off is, the person whom I give the phone to might not return it back. Seriously, who can I give it to? Friends? After give then, "nombor yang anda dail tiada dalam perkhidmatan" tongue.gif

Friends also must see, some not active in internet, some don't join forums, most don't write these kind of "detailed" reviews with so much requirement, like an actual write-up article?

Unless the person is himself a blogger and have many contacts or has many friends who are active in forums, blogs, etc.

The purpose is basically to help market the product, get traffic. Not so much so as in letting "anyone" (I mean, anyone, young or not young; regardless they know or don't know about smartphone, etc), to try and experience it and then share their opinions.
*
Yup, +1. Agree with you.

How many of them will take initiative to get to Nokia Malaysia's Fb page and write something like a short review?

I thought that would not meet any of the requirements
*
Yup, correct. The reason of all this review, promote etc is for people to know about it. Sending it to Prakash and the rest of us is not what they wanted sweat.gif

Thought of informing it to the person who sent it before it is late.

Nokia N9 Review

What the reviewer said is very true. No doubt it is a great phone but the price and lack of future support will be a turn off to many.

This is one of the best Nokia phone that i have ever used.

quick question, on nokia n8 while screen is turned off there is an option for the time to always show itself and not disappear like most phones. does n9 have this function?
*
Yes, N9's clock will not disappear too (unless you turn it off in the settings)

Anyone else having problem with Facebook chat? Each time I connect to new WiFi network, my Facebook chat goes offline and the status says "password incorrect".

The only way to solve it is to open my Facebook app and then try going online at the messaging app again.

I personally think that Nokia don't know how to market this phone. It is kind of limited edition phone where even U.S. don't have it (a place where the phone has HUGE sales potential). Before it comes out, Nokia spoiled its reputation.

After Nokia screwed up everything about such a great phone, they are still selling it at a price of a dual-core phone.

I don't know what are they up to. I showed it to many of my friends. They were so interested but the moment they get to know the price, their mouth are zipped and *change topic*

Another one? Mind telling us why you bought it if you have no intention of using it? You're going to lose some money on it you know?

Probably he got it for free, from the Ninja contest...

QUOTE(kcching @ Oct 15 2011, 05:48 PM)
Sad that I've sent my wife's N9 for repairing this week.

It's kind of frustrating when I'm having "Mobile Network Error" EVERYTIME I restart the phone, and had to pull out and re-insert the sim card for a LOT of time in order to get it work. I've replaced 3 Sim Cards this week from the telco and still facing the same problem. Had no choice but to send for repair.

I'm really pissing off with Nokia Malaysia that I've bought this phone for less that 7 days and they wouldn't replace a new one for me. Spending 2000 over for a Nokia phone end up wasting more time for trouble shooting and repairing. My wife is not happy with it, so do I.

Overall the phone is smoother and the camera is better compare to my Galaxy S I9000. But, I would not go for a Nokia phone in the future, because of the quality of service. Personal feeling and opinion. smile.gif
*
To be frank, any company in Malaysia have this bad attitude where they don't do 1 to 1 replacement, unless you are lucky.

I had several devices which I found out to be faulty on the day I bought it but I can't get a replacement even though I went back the next day.

I'm facing the same problem on microsim, took it out from iPhone 4. After restarted the phone prompted the error “No Mobile Network”

Quite frustrated with this new phone. BTW did anyone encounter poor GPS signal? It seem that it can't connect.in indoor althought the A-GPS enabled!
*
Have you enabled mobile data at setting? You also need to check your AGPS setting.

This is not iphone, you still need to be near a window to get a GPS lock but it's definitely better than any Samsung phone.
*
nop, it works as fine as iphone. i have tried in my office where there is no window anywhere nearby. it still locked to the satellite within seconds.

+1, doesn't affect browsing once you are used to it. I actually need the swipe to close option as it helps a lot - 1 swipe and case close.

The clock will actually off if the sensor is covered for like few seconds. That mean if u slotted it in ur pocket, the clock will turned off for battery saving smile.gif

Yup, correct. That is why I always place the phone upside down on my table while I am not using it (usually while sleeping).
