Thank you Kenny for the suggestion. Will visit them once the problem rises again. I've just reset my Nokia N9 this morning.

Since you have reset your phone I presume all your apps are gone. Try testing your bluetooth after adding each app in case it could be a rogue app.

Does anybody know how to update maps for Nokia Drive? Will we be informed of any updates or do we have to delete and re-install maps hoping to get an updated one?

The 16GB N9 will only give you storage space of 9GB. If you have a lot of music this is not enough. Do consider this.

Between WP7 and MeeGo, WP7 is simple and non-customizable like iphone. It keeps the user at arms length while MeeGo allows you to go into terminal mode and do a lot of things. Developers have less scope in WP7 because they cannot touch the OS while for MeeGo you can customize this and that.

Currently in Dublin, Ireland.
Well checked Ebay, and trust me, its quite expensive.
Just to confirm again, how much for N9 in Malaysia nowadays? For both models.

I'm an avid Gmail, Google Calendar, Music and Contacts user. And a light Reader user. Is there anyway for me to sync all that into N9?
Well aware there is no way for me to use Google Music tho...

RRP in Malaysia : 16GB-RM1799 64GB-RM2088. You can get a bit of discount buying online from Superbuy.my

N9 is integrated closely with Gmail (push email) and GTalk. There is a Google Reader app, NewsG. Rest of them I don't know. As an alternative to Google Music there are a few Spotify clients.

Anyone have used superbuy before? Is it safe?
*
Superbuy.my is a legitimate site. I've not bought from them before but you can check in this forum thread of other buyers' experience.

Like what I said before,in term of functionality Symbian is better than WP7.If Nokia give Symbian a proper UI overhaul I think Symbian still can be competitive.
*
Symbian is stuck in 360 x 640 pixels resolution. This limits the screen size in order not to look jaggy. Due to the apps the resolution cannot be easily upgraded.

True, WP7 is really stable but it's also very plain and simple, 2D. If fluidity is what you're looking for, N9 or WP7 is what you need. If you need apps, WP7 will have more prospect and the upcoming updates should have more functions and features available plus refinements.
*
If you want plain and simple why not go for iphone? At least it has a big appstore to console you. For those who are not into customizing the UI I can't think of any reason to get WP7 over iphone. Malaysians cannot even buy WP7 apps.

Don't forget more common reasons.

Not enough apps
No Whatsapp
Nokia name is not cool
Galaxy S2 is too 'sexy'

With Galaxy Nexus selling at the same price as N9, it would be hard to convince average Joe to buy N9.
*
Depends. Users don't choose just on price they also choose the OS and UI they prefer. But N9 is more for well-informed users than the average Joe.

Forget about upgrading to Tizen. I'll be happy if Nokia supports MeeGo Harmattan for another 2 years until 2014.

When Lumia is launched in Malaysia, people may mistake my N9 for a Lumia and that aggravates me.

You have to wait if you want video calls. This is surely coming after PR1.2 is released.

phew.. after struggling so much time with this phone, now i can root and transfer files to my N9. Off to bed
*
What do you mean? You don't have to root to transfer files to N9. It can connect in mass storage mode and transfer files like a thumb drive.

well i did try the copy and paste, via usb mass storage. when happen is, when i want to paste on the nokia n9 dir, it says that u can place this but the phone might not read the files properly or smthing like that.

so what i did was, go to developer mode, terminal, root, and then sdk mode, connect to pc, and transfer all my files.
Probably because you don't have any app which can read that file format. Also remember to put files only in /MyDocs or its sub-dirs or the phone can't find it.

Wow after reading all the comment here i am finally sold.Need to sell my ipodtouch first. Is 16GB sufficient? Can i put micro sd or sd card? To install emulator game how?Can You all teach me?
*
Whether 16GB is sufficient or not depends on how much music you have. This is the main thing to consider as you will normally leave all your mp3 files in the phone. Other files like video and photos can be deleted after viewing. The 16GB N9 will give you 9GB storage. The apps you install will not take up this space. If you are not sure it is better to go for 64GB as memory is fixed (no micro-sd card) and the extra cost is less than RM300.

For me they show up when I put them in the Movies folder. Try putting in the Movies/content/ folder if they don't show up.

Can someone explain to me what is rooting?what its for?
*
Rooting is to install some tweaks to the OS. On the N9 this is just going to terminal mode and typing a command to gain root access. Exiting terminal mode exits root access. It doesn't change your OS permanently like Android.

N9 can only handle baseline 720p video smoothly. Mainline and highline will be played at 1 fps. tongue.gif

There is a QAD file manager in ovi store. If that doesn't suit you there is another site which may have but I don't have the link now. I'll look it up when I get to my home PC.

Have you changed your mind about selling your N9?
