he mean that u can easily switch to other prs in FSM, because most of the PRS is distributed in FSM
*
some additional info, u can only easily switch funds online of the same fund house. to transfer to another prs fund house, need to send in lots of physical documents

1) the RM40 credit to FSM account can be withdraw anytime right? have to pay for acc opening?
2) the cash reward from versa is more then FMS but only limited to Aham compare to FSM can have more choice right?
3) annual fee or other charges will be standard for all PRS fund like?

KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 7): A different type of private retirement scheme (PRS), termed as the algorithm-based PRS, will be launched in the market to encourage Malaysians, especially the younger generation to save early for retirement.

Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) chairman Datuk Seri Dr Awang Adek Hussin said the SC is expanding the PRS framework to allow existing PRS providers and digital investment managers (or robo-advisors) to offer algo-based PRS, which will offer “an alternative fund type structure”.

Algo-based PRS, also termed as ePRS/ Digital PRS, will also allow investors to make a smaller number of contributions to “pre-approved model retirement portfolios”.

1. Not sure. I don't top-up around this year. I usually do my top-up beginning of this year. No need to pay for account opening.
2. Of course cause versa only sell aham funds.
3. Yes.

Suggest you drop fsm ticket. Btw you cannot transfer public mutual funds into fsm or Versa as they don't sell public m mutual.

thanks for the info, how do we check which fund with US exposure?

also i notice each fund and different sales charges some 0%, 1.5% and 3%. this charges should take in consideration when decided which fund to purchase?

sorry as i am still new in this PRS
*
Go download each fund factsheet. Must PRS with overseas exposure is a fund of another fund. So you might need to download the original fund that the PRS invest into and see the fund factsheet.

Eg principal retire easy holds global titans funds. You need need to see how many % of global titans they hold. This will tell you that the retire easy series with the highest exposure to global titans have the highest overseas exposure (you don't want china or Malaysia exposure as much as possible or minimise that). Then download the global titans fund and see their % to US.

I already check AIA have the highest US exposure which explains the outperformance of AIA over retire easy series fund for past 1y.

Sales charges is only valid if you buy from
1. Banks
2. Insurance companies or unit trust companies (like public mutual)

Then yes you will be hit with 3% charges each time you buy PRS. If you buy via FSM, eUT, or PPA zero charges. Not sure about Versa. So up to you if you want to give free money to banks or insurance companies or unit trust. I don't.

If you pay sales charges you instantly lose money without even seeing how the fund performs.

Hope this help.

Don't do islamic. You can use FSM chart centre and see who have the best fund.

AIA have 14.8% in US
Principal RetireEasy 2050 - Class C (stuff which I have) is only 10.5% US

Thanks to your post, you make me calculate how many % of US I have in my PRS I will make the switch from Principal to AIA next year. thumbsup.gif
