QUOTE(yklooi @ Feb 17 2019, 06:10 PM) can this formula being used if I want to get the NAVs of a few PRS funds? can putting that formula into different cells works? Yes. I also use it to track my shares from SGX, basically anything that can be quoted on Bloomberg.

QUOTE(BacktoBasics @ Feb 22 2019, 07:08 PM) My kenanga existing PRS suffering like 10 percent loss at the moment Feel like averaging it down but not sure to put in CIMB or kenanga this year I put CIMB AAXJ as hedge against Ringgit. If ringgit plunge 20% again in the future, the portfolio value goes up by 20% in our home currency term. Conversely if Malaysia Ringgit becomes strong you lose money.

PRS without tax relief is pretty pointless. No way I gonna get my money locked up till old age in mutual funds with high expense ratio.

QUOTE(roarus @ Oct 22 2019, 11:46 PM) I too remember Class C's Total Expense Ratio being a pinch higher than A and X in the prospectus, but Morningstar is showing the same across all classes: Either case - as Morningstar graph shows, the difference comes to ~RM2 for RM10,000 invested over almost 7 years. I wouldn't lose sleep over it. I agak agak calculated, across 40Y time horizon A and C cost the same. BTW the actual expense ratio is far far lower, the advertised ratio is maximum they can charge, but in reality the AAXJ fund macam charged only 0.1% with no front loading fee for class C. Edit: Mea culpa. It's just a feeder fund, the actual fund is much more expensive This post has been edited by honsiong: Nov 20 2020, 02:52 PM

QUOTE(saintmikal @ Mar 27 2020, 08:57 PM) Yes only RM 1.5k but it is 50% of the maximum RM 3.0k allowed for income tax relief. So, this year, can recycle our own money to maximize tax reduction. How? This one assumes you have a housing loan you want to reduce and you have flexibility to withdraw any extra payment that you pump into the loan. Once it's paid in, you have an extra RM 1.5k to recycle back to PRS - assuming you don't need the money at all. But the paperwork with CTC of bank account statement is a deterrent, especially with the MCO. Adoption rate may be low. I have a hunch it can't be that easy, otherwise it's a huge gap overlooked by LHDN. Will just assume LHDN only give relief for RM3000 going into PRS nett.

QUOTE(sarah0601 @ Apr 5 2020, 10:01 PM) Hi all, I read in one of the pages that eUT has 'CIMB-Principal PRS Plus Asia Pacific Ex Japan Equity (Class A)' at 0% SC for online buy; anyone familiar with this? I am halfway through this thread, will finish it in a few days time, but so far haven't read much about eUT. Reason why I would like to purchase the class A instead of the class C offered in FSM is cuz I previously purchased some via an agent already, so just thinking of putting it back in the same one. Is eUT as friendly as FSM? Saw that FSM I could skip the sending of document if I'm buying Principal via phone online. Plus the NAV for that fund is low now, so wanna quickly get some to DCA it. https://www.eunittrust.com.my/Home/Banner1Still got 9 months to go. Singapore is going into lockdown, China got huge bunch of ppl gathering again, expect 3rd wave.

Can't seem to find anything on PRS withdrawal's impact on tax relief.
Say I withdraw RM1500 but deposit RM3000 in this year, am I reducing taxable income by 1500 or 3000?

QUOTE(CSW1990 @ Sep 25 2020, 05:29 PM) Anyone here DCA your PRS fund, eg 500 per 2 months, Or most people lump sum during red? Previously I always lump sum buy 3000 to prs in December This year in this volatile market I plan to buy 1k each in the next three months.. any suggestion? Should have lump sum when it was bottom. Only put RM1000 coz I thought it will go down further... nope.

QUOTE(GrumpyNooby @ Nov 6 2020, 05:19 PM) Personally I think it won't give much boost to encourage people into the scheme. They should have also double the tax relief amount. Funny thing is it benefits the rich people more, those that save more because of their tax bracket and those that have more disposable income. It seriously doesn't help the B40 group.

Speaking of Principal AXJ fund, you can track it in google sheets: CODE =index(ImportXML("https://www.principal.com.my/en/cc5", "//td[contains(@class, 'views-field views-field-field-fund-nav')]"), 2, 4)
Look around the site, if the page looks similar to this one I scrape, changing the URL should work. Have fun!

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Nov 13 2020, 10:01 AM) I just wished they would allow those robo to be included for PRS. Singapore SRS actually has StashAway in it, very nice. But I guess the PRS and i-Invest are setup to benefit local banks and fund managers.
