Want try my settings?
Download madVR, http://madshi.net/madVR.zip
extract it to any place, inside MPC folder if you want.
Then run install.bat.
It should give a registered successfully.
Then go to MPC, change the output to madVR.
Then play any movie,
If still got tearing.
Left click the madVR icon in system tray,
Edit madVR settings,
Go to Rendering - General Settings.
Tick "Enable automatic fullscreen exclusive mode".
Restart MPC.

and try play the movie with AMD GPU, it might be heavy for Intel HD tongue.gif

There will be delay if you tick Enable automatic fullscreen exclusive mode, this will make the video become the top most being render, even you right click will make the video exit the exclusive mode first only can show the context menu..

madVR
features:

- high quality chroma upsampling
- high quality scaling (bicubic, mitchell, lanczos, spline etc)
- high quality YCbCr -> RGB conversion
- gamut & gamma correction for display calibration
- full 16bit processing queue
- final 16bit processing result is dithered down to RGB output bitdepth
- bypasses graphics card's video (damage) algorithms
- all work is done via GPU shaders
- no shortcuts, highest quality has priority over anything else

Just finished reformatting the lappie, there is 1 unknown device left after installing all the drivers from HP website. Any ideas what it is guys?

Nevermind, found it. It should be the HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection

What is the difference or benefit between official Catalyst vs official driver from HP?

Official driver from HP contains the Intel HD + extra files needed for switching mechanism, cons is not always updated/latest driver.
Official Catalyst, old bugs getting fixed/new bug being introduced..

Install/keep the driver from HP, then straight install the Official driver without uninstall the HP one..
