You need to press F11.

Well, it is recommended to do recovery disc in case u accidently mess up with the recovery partition like me.

This part is still confusing.. I read in Notebookreview forum, few guys have no problem claiming warranty even after they swap the orignal HDD to SSD. but got couple of guys said HP Service Centre in their country told them the warranty is voided and they refused to repair it.

Just to be safe, if u planning to change to SSD, make sure u put back the original HDD before u send for warranty or give them a call and said your HDD have a really sensitive personal data and u need to remove the HDD before u send to Service Centre.

I don't have that.
DirectX11 come with Window 7 and you don't need to update it. What need to update is DirectX9.


What did u said about leshcat's driver before?
He's driver is good and i think you get more desktop resolution to choose from.

Problem was, i can't use the newer v8.93 CCC with his driver and i need to manually select Disable Driver Signature Enforcement when boot up.

Even new game like The Witcher 2, Shift 2, Fifa 12, PES 12, Skyrim, Warhammer, AC:Revelation still using DX9.

The problem is that DSE only work with Window bootloader while i'm using GRUB bootloader. It is a driver great tho, but how to access Intel Graphic Control Panel?

Mind printscreen you device manager? Try change to Fixed switching in BIOS before u update the driver. Yours is 6100 series that come with Fixed and Dynamic switching. Make sure your BIOS version is F.1A or newer.

Can use CPU-Z to check your BIOS version.

HP didn't say what changed/fix. Only this..

There is no dynamic switching for DV6-6000 series. You can change the graphic by right clicking your desktop and select "Configure Switchable Graphic".
The "hang" happen randomly? What u doing when it happen?

Probably PowerPlay causing it. Try reinstall the driver. Or try leshcat's driver.

This is getting confusing. Ignore leshcat's driver for now.

Now switch back to HD6770M and go to Control Panel>Program and Features.
Select AMD Catalyst Install Manager and click Repair Catalyst Install Manager and then reboot.
