no haven't. Just done with BF3. Maybe replay again. There was some cracking in the image before this and performance not stable. Screen frozen many times during gameplay and have to force close BF3 through task manager.

Today I carried my dv6 around when it was turned on. When I opened the lid again, it BSOD-ed.

It loads up and works fine after that, but the hard disk LED indicator on the right side (below the power LED) is in red now. Is something wrong with the hard disk?

What can I do to get rid of the red warning light?

^the red warning light means HP 3D guard has already locked your HDD. Maybe see if you can update the software...

What do you mean by locked? So I should update the 3D guard software from HP site?

HP has this software to help protect your HDD. When it 'sense' movement, it will lock ur HDD to protect it from damage(bad sectors)

Ok, I downloaded 3D guard from HP site, installed and restarted the computer. But the red LED is still on. What do I do now?

HOW TO HIDE HARD DISK EASY
this method is to hide your hard disk or partiton or any unusable drive without stopping the program or system to access it
plus we can enter this drive easy just type into explorer box.

Open up regedit.exe by using the start menu search box, and then browse down to the following key.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
Attached Image

The NoDrives key most likely does not exist by default, so you’ll need to create it with right-click > new 32-bit DWORD and name it NoDrives.

then you double-click on the key in the registry editor, then enter the decimal value into the value field.

for example if we need to hide partition disk G:
we put num 40 Hex or 64 Decimal

then, you'll need to log off windows, and log on in back..
or just restart explorer.exe from task manager(i dont know how)

DONE.

>to undo this method, just remove the NoDrives key from registry.

then our hard disk drive is invisible at my computer but we can easily to access by putting the drive letter at explorer box

EDIT:

I JUST GOOGLED IT..

can you try to disable the 3D guard and see if the light changes to white? If not, I think might be something wrong with your hdd...
