New owner of dv6001tx reporting in...put me in the list as well

Only in Solitude. But I'm playing on super high settings though.

The DVD driver should have light on them right When i wanna open the tray it won't respon sometimes and there's no light on the button Don't tell me i have to send laptop back Not even 1 day yet

The light is not really apparent. You have to look from certain angle to see it. The button is also quite hard to press. If possible, try to eject using the OS in my computer right click on the drive and select eject. It will save u some frustration.

Guys, I've got a problem.

Suddenly on Tuesday night, I discovered a buzzing/crackling sound in my notebook speakers that appears whenever any sound is played, usually at the high frequency parts (eg. Crackling appears during the last half or so of the win7 startup sound). I don't know what I did wrong because I rarely use my notebook speakers, but the night before I did discover my system running unusually hot. I'm pretty sure it's not the sound card because no problems appear when I plug in headphones. Restoring to factory defaults (because I had fiddled with Beats and some othwr audio settings a few nights before) does seem to reduce the problem, but it doesn't completely disappear.

I know that a couple of guys have had this problem before and ended up bringing it to HP for repairs. I just need to know a few things:

1) Did HP ever tell you guys what exactly went wrong?

2) How long did it take for HP to finish fixing your dv6?

last day its happens just few..and now i can't use my dv6..
now i have to on9 with my 2nd laptop...help me out!!!

More like no light at all Yup i do use OS to eject it My worry is the driver might be broken Have to try more DVD 1st

I'm using 6114 and it lights up but it is very dim(really dim ). Perhaps try in a dark room?

hi, i bought a 6001tx last week and i only started playing games today (tried l4d2, deus ex and street fighter, alice madness etc) however all of them are very laggy and so is the mouse :/ the settings are all on the lowest by the way so i'm abit worried. i uninstalled all my graphics driver and only installed the dna-amd gfx 11.8.3 driver, is there anything i missed out?

I get this as well. But I think it's just the poor quality of the laptop speakers which I must say is really soft. Doesn't bother me too much cause most of the time use headphones anyway.

Not played skyrim yet but weirdly, when playing Football manager 12, in matches the fps drops quite alot of times. The weird thing is BF3 I have no problems at all playing on high settings. Really weird cause FM12, the graphics is so basic.

The disc driver is the only part I really don't like about the laptop. The button is so "in" that there really is no point putting it there at all. Have to really dig in with my fingernail only it will open.

Btw... why in GPU-Z, my Bios version is Unknown? And my driver version is atiumdag 8.830. Is the latest/best one right?

what setting u guys put for skyrim? high?

When you right click on desktop screen, is there switchable graphic? if yes ,choose high performance. I think you are on intel gc... btw update the driver base on page 1.

yeah i'm already on high performance. um, should i download ALL the drivers on the first page? or only some? i already have DNA-AMD GFX 11.8.3, do i need to download the mobility catalyst and others? lol thanks!

You can't boot into window at all? It just hanging there at window loading screen?

Click start , type device manager (click it) > display adapters > ati xxx right click > update driver software

Then go to Ati Catalyst And download. CCC 11.11

When complete the installation, click view log. See whether any fail installation.

Thats shud be the trick for your prob



NFS The Run is awesome... ultra setting still smooth... Btw on/off vsync got major difference?
Any way to reduce processor temp? its kinda high..(89-95c,with a cooler sucking out hot air at back . Playing in a room with fan only )

Off the TurboBoost and set Vsync off if u have no delay problem in game so it won't render >60fps and save some processing power, hence cooler gpu.
