haish, just got enough money to buy the DV6001-TX RM2.8k.

but now near 2012 already and some of you guys post the new AMD HD7690 which will come later next year.

should i buy this laptop or wait for new model next year?

If u hav urgent need for a laptop ,then get it now. If you have d patience to pass a few more months.Then wait for the upcoming ones

to syazwanreno, just buy when u have enough money... although you are not urgent in buying laptop.. you have money, just buy it... then, funding for another new laptop for next 3 years

Try reinstall.. and do it in custom installation. Check post installation report to see any failure.

My old XPS M1530 kinda died on me yesterday. Haiz..... I tot it could survive till CNY then only I buy a new one.

Anyway, so I went looking for 6168tx this morning at Digital Mall & nobody has it. I got to dragged my ass all the way to lowyat to search for it.

In the end, only mobility square got but don't have ready stock. So, I made a down payment and by tomorrow this hour, I'll be a proud owner of dv6-6168tx :-)


The price is $3999 + 199(office) + 3 yrs warranty + carrying case.

oh... the microsoft office is home & student edition? if so u can get it cheaper for RM180 at jayacom but it's for 3 users so u can either sell off the other 2 user... unless ur office is oem version... =D

Yeah, home & student edition, coz I use mainly word & excelcom only. Didn't check the rest of the shop on office bcos was a bit tired asking ard for 6168tx.

Anyway I'm really happy and can't wait for tomorrow :-)

I've just bought DV6-6001TX. Kindly please list all:
1. bloatware that can be removed
2. software that safe to remove but good to keep

p/s: I have remove HP Support Assistant and the HP CoolSense automatically being remove as well. Does CoolSense important? I know it can control the fan but without it, does it means that when i play heavy games, the temp will go high without the fan being faster?

Without beats solo. With beats add additional $500. End if the mth, I'm not too sure if u can find any. It's kinda hard to find old dv6 now. The new model 6167tx sucks

well... thundermatch lowyat plaza is selling it... asus kiosk at level 2 also selling it (near the escalator)... and lowyat seller l0uis is also selling it ( also from thundermatch ) -----> 6001tx can get... but dunno about 6164tx
