if my saga flx demands an API SAE 10W-30 or higher .... can i use castrol edge 5W-40 ??? currently using Shell HX 7 10W-40 .... or should i go zhun zhun 10W-30 , will it better my mileage ?

My friend own a new Exora Bold where in the manual called for 10W/30, but when he went to SC for first service, they pour in 10W/40...i presume is ok...

not just ok, but it is state on the manual on every car...Recommended but as long as you follow the chart(look on the manual again), it will give you some charting on viscosity grade you can use...

depend on climate....

10w-30,5w-30 is suitable ofr TOWN DRIVING where so many stop and go...

10w-40,15w-40, 20w-50, 15w-50 and so on are suitable also plus good for highway and high revving engine...

5w-20, 0w-20, 0w-30??nahh...i dont think Malaysia have the climate that so cold....even at genting or cameroon not so cold...


coz even if you use 20w, your car still can start at temperature 5 degree celcius....
