This site has done great and helped all of us. Credit goes to IOSTREAM & TEAM. rclxms.gif
We are facing this problem because of technology advancement in e-commerce & we are also able to
respond quickly because of technology. Otherwise we would not know that this was a nationwide conjob involving a large sum of money.
BUT WE ARE NOT OUT OF THE WOODS YET!!! NOT UNTIL ALL GENUINE BUYERS ARE REFUNDED!
Unfortunately BPP has limitations and some of us WILL NOT get full refunds. All insurance have limits and BPP had stated it in their
conditions.

Efforts must continue to get more victims to make police reports and updates on BPP claims.

As long as LELONG fulfil its BPP obligations, they should not be faulted. This episode will make LELONG be more careful in
giving BPP certification.

OUR OBJECTIVES SHOULD BE:
- ENSURE LELONG START REFUNDING BPP CLAIMS (MAXIMUM TIME 45 DAYS FROM SUBMISSION OF CLAIMS)
- OUTLINE THE NEXT PLAN OF ACTION IF LELONG REJECTS BPP CLAIMS.
- ASSIST AUTHORITIES IN NABBING THE CONMAN
- MAKE MALAYSIA A SAFER PLACE TO BUY/SELL ONLINE

my opinion about Lelong verified seller.

Lelong have full responsibility to protect buyer from cheated by their "verified seller". In this case, if they confirm their verified seller qiling is run away and can not be contact, then lelong should compensate buyer's loses automatically under BPP without police report. Police service is not free, it is paid by government(tax payer) and it shall not be misuse by some irresponsible commercial activities.

In future, we may need a paypal alike method to develop our net marketing. Lelong BPP is bad pratice ,also it's limitation about one claim/month and 3 claims in life.

I agree, but police services is still needed to help catch the culprits that ruin the e-commerce system so that both companies and buyers alike won't suffer loses alone while the syndicate roam free and enjoying profit. This also help prevent same problem from happening in the future.

I'm thinking, we should ensure Lelong.my that we WILL keep quiet IF they FULL refund us.That could boost their management morale more I think.

In principal, Lelong is the middle-man between buyers and sellers.
So, if Lelong refund buyers in full then we should close the case.
After that, let Lelong & the Police decide whether they want to sue or take actions against QiLing.
It is no longer a concern of the buyers, we only act as witness.

In future, play safe, any buying above $100 or $150, Lelong should implement "Safe-Trade" or "Self-Collect" to protect buyers.
If sellers refuse to the terms, buyers should be allow to cancel transaction.

though should lelong do process the BPP & start refunding, there are still many of us who made more than 3 transactions (remember the term of max 3 claims per user) who will still be losing huge amt.

Be this a very good lesson for us and we will learn and heal.

Conclusion is, whatever it is, bring the assssO down.

Kudos to iostream, syarif, sherlock7 & all of you who made contribution in getting our $$$$.

You all sounds like very happy and got the money back.
Oh wait, no one got anything back yet.

Lelong has not refunded yet,
the conman is still at large.

Don't angry with me for stating the fact..

Ya! Indeed, bro! nod.gif
i think most of us overlooked this line of BPP terms:

QUOTE
Lelong reserves the right to make a final decision at our sole discretion on any claim and make changes to this policy from time to time as it deems fit.

Lelong has promised to refund us, but none of us had successfully claimed tat refund, not to mention getting a single cent...

In short, we dun even know how much we can get bek, not even close to knowing that...

And, please dun be over optimistic, lelong is still working at a very slow pace!

Me personally is not angry with you. I also noticed that. The other thing is the case has been cold last few days with no new information about this conman. After all,we have done everything we could for now including claiming BPP from Lelong. Most of us I think is in stand-by for now.

Nevertheless, I would also like to thank iostream and others who contribute to this thread, especially the ones who rally outside Lelong's office and gives statement to the police. With their actions we know that this case has actually got the attention we need in order to hopefully solve this problem. Keep up the good work guys.
