i have the same issue like you with 2 SATA on the mobo. 1 for HDD, 1 for DVD-RW and now no more left for addititional SATA HDD. Can SATA works like parallel IDE using daisy-chain?
*
no daisy chain for sata. 1 sata 1 cable 1 port on mobo. that's better actually due to many people confused with master and slave on ide.

Guys,

I'm thinking of getting a 320Gb HDD to replace my current 160Gb coz not enough space already and not enough SATA port as well. I want to partiition the HDD into two partition with 160Gb each. Drive C for OS, Office, Applications and Photos and, Drive D is for junk data like movie, tv series, anime, games etc. The old 160Gb to back-up and replicate Drive C.

Can this work?
