Everyone's "noise" lvl is diff i suppose, im using 320G sata seagate, i found it the most noisy parts in my PC.

Without the HD my pc totally has no noise, i don even know if my pc is on or off by listening to just the amount of sound generate.

But the seagate keep "tic tic tic ticc" which is reli irritating.

I'm using 320G SATAII seagate too but dun have the noise that u mention. hmm.gif

Question!
160 GB Western Digital JB
160 GB Seagate 8M
160 GB Western Digital SATA II
160 GB Seagate SATA II
Which is better?

Also do every motherboards support every hard disk?
I'm just afraid that my old junk motherboard may not support new hard disks.

Waaa, too expensive for me, RM1K+. Just wait and see if there is any price changes, if not then most likely I'll be getting the 500GB. 500GB still ok lare, affordable. blush.gif

Anyone has comments on placing the HDD vertically or horizontally inside the casing? Will placing vertically has negative effect as compared to horizontal?
