Clean it by radiator flush then.

i think the mechanic did a shoddy job just wanting to sell you the alu rad.
he should also check the pipes and any connectors to find out why metal pieces are being distributed to your rad.

not sure if it fits ngam....but ive seen tonnes of SR4 with EG6 bumpers

did you know how much is the price range for my SR4 swap engine to B16A small v which is enough for me oredi...

NEVER EVER put smalm v b16a into eg n above...coz that engine is from ef civics...its much easier n better to put in big v.

I really hate seeing small v in egs n above...thats just some kedekut way...not forgetting parts for the small v getting tougher to find.

B16a im not sure..mebbe abt 8k. But the workshop i go to offers a b18c gsr (non type r) package for abt 9.5k

i thought ori EG9 is B16A? that's why i thought of swap a B16A..... acutally my car the fuel consumption is good, power is ok la... im thinking to put may be a SOHC Vtec also can cause my current engine non vtec~ actually Vtec will be high fuel consumption when vtec kick in? if like normal drive change gear at 2.5-3 k rpm how's the fuel consumption?

Hi all, i'm driving 2007 Vtec Honda City. I'm planning to change a civic 1.8 used 2008. Is the car good? Most of my friend ask me don't change because since i'm driving city change to civic no feel like changing car. Is civic 1.8 maintanance and fuel consumption expensive? Any bad thing about 1.8Civic?

imho if your engine is running smooth now don't change it coz majority of the b16's especially the cheap ones will have had a tough time during the rice boy era 5-7 years back.

thx for the advice... mine is think is D16Y7... sohc non vtec... ME516 local assembly D16 series... thinking what can i do for small mod to increase the engine power ?

cost:
i just paid for my 2009 model insurance and roadtax.
cost me 2.2k (300 plus for roadtax rest of insurance).

performance:
stock 1.8 you will definitely feel you're driving a more powerful and stable car.
your city i know is capable of going 140-150km/h
civic can do that without breaking a sweat and without the wind noise and feels alot more stable.

fuel consumption:
where your city has good pickup and good fuel consumption for town driving and traffic jams.
civic won't be like that.
you won't get the 500km plus per tank you're used to getting from your honda city.
you'd still get upper 450km per tank which is quite good considering the extra horsepower you're getting.

parts:
i suggest you get oem parts since the car is warranty over.
the cost will be much more bearable, however it will cost you abit more than the city.

1. carbon clean your engine.
2. aftermarket air filter replacement / pod-type if u dun mind the noise.
3. performance exhaust change (extractor-mid pipe-muffer all must go).

that will help your machine breath better should be better response, but i dunno how much HP increase that would be coz it depends on the parts used, don't goto kedai cap ayam and put junk do some research and get the good stuff at a bargain.

Thanks Bro, my city can go up to 190km/h.I get a new offer from other company, i need to go for outstation alone that why planning buy civic. as i heard from other civic 1.8 can go up to 210km/h? i more concern about fuel comsumption, in city driving i use to drive below 100km/h even i at kesas or LDP. my city full tank cost me around RM 70 can go up to 550km. How about civic full tank cost and km? Does civic have any problem? Thanks.

if you're traffic outstation you'd get 550 or abit more from the civic, depends on how you "speed" .

i can't really tell anymore since i've put in 18" rims all the calculations kaput liao

190km/h in city i've tried that before from johor to kl.
takes a long time to get 190km/h.
i've done 206km/h on civic even without notice it while driving from cyberjaya to klia. u don't need a long straight to go 180km/h with civic, u need for city

so attractive, depend on the civic owner wanna sell me or not? if she sell me then i buy lo ^ ^ i heard 2006-2008 model civic recall for something?
