i know wat clutch to get...either a used Exedy Hyper Single or brand new Exedy 4 puck....only problem is i no marnee to send car to workshop and get the clutch

plus i wanna open it up first and CONFIRM its the clutch then only buy... dun wan later open see see something else dead.

3 puck n 4 puck roughly the same....

when u buy it usually comes in clutch disc + pressure plate...so no real need to change anything

exedy got 6 puck....the hyper single series... about 3k brand new...

if u worry about stiff n all that... get stock type r clutch...good stuff. for B16A its quite sufficient...stock pedal feel too or look into the exedy organic clutch.. which is the full round one.. aka stage 1...but not sure about the pedal feel... pedal kinda depends on the pressure plate used

3/4 puck is stage 2 n hyper single is stage 3.

most people convert their 4 doors to virs.

6 puck?? the exedy 6 puck is expensive and even more stiff ler... that one same level as ogura and OS Giken

Type R? B16B or B18C lor...

hydraulic is lighter on the clutch while cable is a lil heavier.

but if u planning on using race clutch like ogura etc... get hydraulic and convert to cable... leaving it at hydraulic have a tendency to break the clutch pump when using stiff clutches.

n why not go straight to cable gearbox? coz cable gearbox is the EF generation gearboxes....i.e 4.2FD n super old... with the hydraulic at least easier to find and cheaper and also can interchange parts

but track oso can use hydraulic....like i said..kinda depends on the clutch stiffness

yeah there are tonnes of failures with clutch pumps...

but there are tonnes of people using stock clutch pumps successfully...

i currently have the JASMA pump in my car installed by the ex-owner....he said he used it with his Ogura and it was ok...got another friend who used it with his OS n kaput in a week... then his mech modified an accord clutch pump to his car and its been ok ever since (less than 6 months)


can use la...but just be aware of it only... i oso planning on using clutch pump with Exedy race clutch.

all B series VTEC clutch is interchangeable with each other. practically plug n play
