QUOTE(zenix @ Sep 11 2012, 02:27 PM) i selling my FD....kakaka.... who wan exchange 5 lugs type-r replica rim wif me? longgar oredi can fit B16B? B16B has 81.5 while B16A is 81... QUOTE(siauann @ Sep 11 2012, 02:27 PM) was thinking of doing top overhaul but is it worth to upgrade b16b pistons? i forgot to mention mine is an auto auto ah? i dont see anything wrong with increasing compression...but would probably need a retune... if u worry then mebbe get B16A manual pistons with B16A manual cams would be a good improvement... had a friend who used to have a stock auto b16a but with manual b16a cams and he was very happy... in fact, he was the fastest b16a auto in the club... hahahahha

putting 81mm pistons into an 81.5mm bore will mean the need for slightly bigger piston rings.. which will increase the chances of the engine eating up engine oil and not giving a good seal for the combustion chamber
displacement wise...
B16A with 81mm is 1595cc B16A with 81.5mm is 1615cc

QUOTE(siauann @ Sep 12 2012, 10:35 AM) i still dunno wanna keep my ek4 or not. but i like this car but no matter what i need to get the timing belt and water pump changed as a service routine. to do the overhaul or not i'll see how it goes. best to remove the head and put the pistons at the bottom most so u can see the condition of the piston walls aka sleeves aka liner. then from there... decide wats next. QUOTE(taqim07 @ Sep 12 2012, 12:50 PM) hi guys..my b16a auto engine leaking alrady..from what the mechanic said..the leaking was pretty bad(top and bottom) and need to taken out the engine which cost around 700-800..normaly, what part need to change and how much is it? leaking from where? u need to identify the source of the leak first. for all u know its just the solenoid (which is normal) n whos ur mechanic? oooo P44... i guess theyre ok la.. if u trust them then just listen to them... though id recommend going to a good car wash first.. get an engine wash and then monitor the leaks from there.

personally... after the EK... practically all hondas available in our market are pretty much crap..sadly.
except for the Type Rs of course.. n the CRZ seems to be pretty decent too...though im a lil disappointed at torsion beam...the same disappointment also applies to the FN2

QUOTE(Ayaka @ Sep 20 2012, 07:23 PM) I dealt with them before. The workmanship quality is very good, they are good at engine transplant. I think they only carries half cut parts, only a few items is brand new. The boss Amat was friendly, price was cheaper than most of the half cut shop i've ask, MunLee etc.. thanks...might consider them for the future..or actually mebbe soon hahaha QUOTE(zenix @ Sep 20 2012, 07:25 PM) serious? their location please? i wanna turn junk into a beast shah alam...can try search for them in mudah

QUOTE(siauann @ Sep 26 2012, 09:16 AM) but i dont do track. should got with adjustables ka? now still considering changing normal or change to adjustables my car is a daily driven adjustables doesnt always means its for track la... im sure there are tens, if not hundreds of thousands in malaysia that are using adjustables... but only a handful will ever see track time. if handling is priority... adjustables.. the spring rate that comes with GAB SS in the box is good enough to give comfort and handling... after that u just adjust stiffness of the abs only to ur liking

the GAB SS for ur EK right? my mech in sri muda quoted me 1.9k .... but 2.2-2.4k is the basic price alot of places are offering
BOTH hilo and soft hard will affect handling... height affects centre of gravity and soft hard will affect the body roll and how well it sticks to the road
height settings will depend on how high/low u want it
