sorry for no update. Outstation. Looking at the dreadful run like this i think only Coppa are our real chances to get atleast one silverware this season

And instead worrying of chasing Milan, we should be worried more about Lazio & Udinese. Thx goodness they both lose last night

Our board's refusal to open the checkbook and get us a quality front man has cost us.....

Manager - Good
Midfield - Good
Defense - Improved alot
Strike force - Fairly good but not championship winning good

We have rather good to good strikers.... but we need a striker that is better than just being good or rather good...

Our midfield is creating chances... defense is holding up too....But the head of the spear is blunt... it has now potentially cost us the scudetto... doh.gif

Just watched the highlight of the match.. Its totally a one sided game. Pepe got onside goal disallowed, we hit the goalframe 3 times,
Matri penalty claimed wave-off.. But im gonna stop complaining bcoz whatever happen the result stay 0-0. But still our gameplay have
improve a lot compared to previous season...What we lack are the clinical forward upfront

to be realistic our target this season are UCL spot. That's why i said earlier we are "overachieving" with scudetto run & the undefeated streak.
I say just forget about scudetto hope, focus on the CL spot, worried about the pack chasing us (Lazio,Napoli,Udinese,Roma), and give our
all on Coppa Italia.

Added on March 12, 2012, 9:32 amoh yes i forgot to mention. Our dominant display apart from not winning the game might be from the absent of our abysmal "B²" (Bonucci-Bordello).

if one of em started Genoa would've 60% ball possession bcoz we are playing with '9-man' biggrin.gif

Yeah... but if we have a better striker... scuddetto is well within our reach even for our standards this season....

Oh well... we have to settle for cheap alternatives then.... 2nd place (where is we were more clinical we would have really have a realistic chance of winning the title)... second rate striker in Boriello... laugh.gif

juve just needs a clinical striker thats all, matri is good but juve just cant keep on counting on him to score goals, he needs someone who can help him score and someone to challenge for his spot

Quote from an article:

"Their latest poor showing in front of goal has seen them slip four points behind champions AC Milan despite still being unbeaten in all competitions since May 2011. It has been their inability to turn supremacy into substance which has held them back, though, with their high pressing game having seen them take over in matches, yet their strikers have blown many of the chances that have come their way"

"The Bianconeri have now racked up over 500 shots in their 27 Serie A fixtures this season, yet they've only found the net 39 times, with their strike force of Alessandro Matri, Marco Borriello, Fabio Quagliarella, Mirko Vucinic and Alessandro Del Piero having amassed just 16 goals between them in the league. Compare that to Zlatan Ibrahimovic's tally of 19, and Antonio Di Natale's 18 strikes, and it's easy to see where Juve's issues lie."

Couldnt agree more...

UCL spot is a main target at the start of the season...so yeah...we are back to reality now.

Scudetto = dreamland
UCL spot = reality
Not getting UCL spot = nightmare

so we should hope & pray the team would do everything in their power to lose the chasing pack behind instead of worrying
about one team ahead

looking how thing is and Gio might "open the doors" as he said...well im sure he'll end up re-wearing the Bianconero jersey next season

Imagine Gio + Matri or Gio + Quag in attack...defenders are going to have a big headache on who to mark because they have to let go Pepe / Marc / Vidal who can bulldoze their way through... laugh.gif

on a national level, how is the status of cassano and rossi ya? Without them the azzuri's attack is truly toothless.

p/s: Looking at the goals we missed so far...i miss Big Vince cry.gif . he might not be a prolific scorer but im very sure he can bury 50% of his shots on target

both are still out injured. Cassano IINM are having heart problem and might risk to never step foot on football pitch ever again...feel very bad for him.
Rossi suffered season long injury earlier this season

So that means pretty much is either Gio + Super Mario or Gio + Rossi (my first choice) is our attack in Euro then....

Pirlo's going to have to work a lot harder shakehead.gif

Who is our holding MF btw? still DDR?

yeap, currently Italy have no "natural wingers" in the midfield section of the team. All are either DM, CM & AM.

And knowing Prandelli who prefer 4-3-3 @ 4-5-1. Both Pirlo & De Rossi will start in every game and their co-MF like Motta,Marchisio,Nocerino would start depending on
Prandelli's formation

last i read somewhere its Caceres who out injured doh.gif

Chiellini could be back vs Fiorentina.. If not we gonna have another makeshift center back in Vidal & Bonucci. And caceres only suffered minor injured so he's 50-50 to be available vs Viola this weekend. Finger cross
