my feedback..
this rom works well on my phone.. no more touchscreen problem.. gud job bro.
btw, is it using kernel 2.6.32.9 EA#3..? not 2.6.35.13?..
*
Owh ya, forgot to mentioned it in the release notes.
The 2.6.35.13 stock CM kernel does have problem, including the touch screen module problem on first boot. So I used stable 2.6.32.x one as a temporary replacement. Users now can also use any other kernel out there for the z71 variant without any problem now.
I haven't checked out the 2.6.35.11 by edgar (thank ralph_d for pointing that out) but you can try it biggrin.gif

You can also flash the tweaked stock CM7 2.6.35.11 from the mygingerb 1.0.1 now since the touchscreen issue are affecting first boot process only.

I'm currently developing my own kernel for this ROM, but that will take a while.

Please tell me. Wifi signal in these rom are strong as froyo 2.2 rom.
Most of 2.3.x rom wifi is weak (don't catch wifi quickly and signal is very weak.
Is this rom different with another 2.3.x rom ?

PS: i am using phantom sky froyo rom.

Hi All,

I've been using FROYO Phantom Sky Fish quite some times. It's a stable ROM but I believe it is time to move on to GINGER BREAD since all LG, Samsung, HTC, etc already on 2.3 and I heard alot user commented 2.3 improve alot on smoothness UI.

May i know this new MY GingerB ROM have inherit some of the features from Phantom Such as

1) Can support 32MB java heap size
2) A2SD = which allow auto mount to ext3 mount point created on SD CARD. This is a cool features can allow us install APP on the fly without use move to SD.

Hope to hear from you guys soon.

Yes, i agree. 2.3 gingerbread have smoothness UI. I Tried some 2.3 custom rom from cyanogenmod kernel. But all of them have problem with wifi as i say above.
So i hope angelictears can mod a custom rom to fix that biggrin.gif.

I've stated it as a bug, like in the OP, I've said that you can delete the /system/bin/su file either from adb, or the ROM zip, before flashing the rom that is. Installing Su via recovery is also ok biggrin.gif

I've tested and the Wifi signal is great, I've tweaked the fastauth code so it will reconnect to remembered network as fast as Froyo rom, if not better. The mygingerb is also optimized for Malaysian mobile network such as DiGi, Maxis and Celcom. Meaning that the signal will not fall below 3 bar in city area smile.gif

MyGingerB are set to use 32mb as Java heap size as default, and can go as much as 48mb if users want to.
As far as App2EXT, the Rom does not, while this rom, same as any other Cyanogenmod based rom, will support App2SD, but not on partition. It also support automatic app moving based on your remaining memory that are free. Notification are also enabled to notify users on which app to move and which you won't. Although advance users can install script enabling App2EXT.

You can always use S2E (Simple2Ext), you can find it in the market, or click here
Or you can use darktremor's script found here, although some report mixed result. here
I recommend a full backup in case anything happen
I do recommend class 4 SD card or above.
As for the support, I will eventually implemented the App2EXT script on the next release. biggrin.gif

Hmm, can you access the recovery mode again? If yes, try reflash the ROM, be sure to wipe data, cache and dalvik cache if you haven't

If you cannot access recovery(which is seldom as mygingerb flashes recovery as precaution), you can always use adb / fastboot to flash a recovery boot img, and boot back to recovery.
The simplest way is to flash any 2.1 (stock or firetrap[recommended as it is pre-root] ) and boot to recovery to attempt reflashing. Again with data, cache and dalvik wipe.

Good luck bro biggrin.gif

It is uses clockworkrecovery to flash, much more simpler than SUTLR in my opinion smile.gif
You can find some basic steps on the first post. Good luck bor biggrin.gif
