Hmm, you might have problem with the ROM manager installation, try and reflash using cm7 7.0.2.nb0 file as mentioned by terry@android above, you could find it on boston mania blog (although I don't encourage the site as it does not provide the source link and illegally mirrored downloads), the nb0 should have ROM manager preinstalled, if not you'll have no problem installing it as the latest ROM manager app support android 2.2 and above.

ok, thx will try now, coz last time i cant get my baseband when flashing to gaia.

in theory any nb0 firmware file can be use as it does contain baseband and radio firmware preinstalled.

yo guys, take a peek at all da setting inside da rom first, dont ask everything

@gjtan, i hav giv at lease twice a way to flash this rom, try to take a peek at older reply. if u follow really careful, there is nothing wrong with ur fone.

hi mr angelictears, u can use anything i mention here or anywhere, no sweat bout it, juz ask me what can i do to help.

Added on January 17, 2012, 7:51 pm@angelictears

here why i wanna u to help find a way to integrate it into system, i got sd, 1 class 6 n class 4, i use both, so it really pain in da a** to use any a2sd script and i need to sync my fone for both 2 sd, that why, any app that i regularly used will be thrown to hell..no system app, so i can focus on thinking how to use a2sd on both sd card without any reboot.

u understand da situation? owh, and sorry again, i alter ur rom by putting da new adreno driver, plus altering ur read ahead kb to 3072, to catchup on playing 480p mkv video.

Added on January 17, 2012, 8:00 pmthanks for ur help on my selfish request, why dont u integrate mx as ur video player on ur next rom, adding ungaze script and use ram manager as sys, i think thats da best result for this fone. plus da new adreno driver and kernel#37 from edgar or 2.6.35 as base, it would be awesome.

i can create a guide to flash it if u want. biggrin.gif

listen to mr angelictears words, i dont really care, da nbo file is juz to make sure ur fone on cyanogen, not phantom.if i list all da suitable nbo then 3 pages still insufficient to contain that as cyanogen really hav too
much updates.

Thanks , your guide are already up on my dev blog so everyone can follow that detail step by step guide biggrin.gif

I understand your request and I see what I can do, as a2sd script usually most effective after reboot, you can use apk method, for example link2sd, but again it only to make it easier and as far as I know, reboot are required, as for script method, such as the ungaze one, reboot is a must to ensure mounting. Android cannot mount other than SDcard partition at will as it does not design that way. For me to design it that way would require me to rewrite almost 20% of the source code. Again it is hard to do without bugs. But again i see what I can find.

About the mx player, i would try to see if it fits the system memory partition, if the apk + codec are exceeding the system partition max size, then I could not do anything, but seems like all are ok, I'll be happy to integrate it for you biggrin.gif of course there would be 2 versions, 1 with all media feature integrated and one that does not have it integrated, for ppl who like to use their own player of course.

Also Ram Manager is an optional as some would prefer v6 supercharger, I would like to kept it as optional for now as ppl can download it from market for a few kilobytes.

I also would like to say that future release will uses kernel #37 as default until there's a stable 2.6.35.x kernel is out, and will increase SD read ahead (thanks for reminding me that smile.gif ). Ungaze script is a bit tricky, I would like to know if how many would like it integrated? Or should I just provide it separately in one package? As some would use link2sd and some would go for another script.

And last but not least, can you give me the link to the updated driver? I tried finding it but no profit sad.gif I would like to test it for stability, performance and power usage compared to my own modded driver. Thanks in advance biggrin.gif

hi mr angelictears

Thanks for da support, bout da driver, i just unpack da 7.2 by edgar from:

/system/lib/egl/
libeEGL_adreno200.so
libGLEsv1_CM_adreno200.so
libGLESv2_adreno200.so
libq3dtools_adreno200.so

/system/lib/

/system/etc/firmware/

and repack it back using ubuntu 11 kitchen, using root explorer also can, thats all, but thats not da main answer coz its not really a good idea to used other kernel binary but mine works

As for those who see this and wanna try, DONT TRY IT AT HOME, try it at csl stop point as if ur fone bricked, that will be easy as u just one step closer to sending ur fone to be repaired. So take ur time and juz wait for mr angelictears do his wonderful works.

As to mr angelictears, sorry but that was da method i used. Bout da 2.6.35.13 kernel, edgar already release a steady one for commtiva z71, sorry i forgot to mention that, here da link, let me know immediately if u already download it as i need to throw da link from this thread, its someone job i been using credit for.

i dont know if its really work coz i never use tethering, used it for ur own project purpose, i hav try it, fits in perfectly but somehow sometime fone will hang so i will research a bit bout it.

as i dont really say anything, but ungaze script kinda creepy, it uses vm as base and create 'other' internal for ur fone, so i dont really recommend u to integrated it on ur release, so i will take back my words. As my recommendation is giving it separately, i dont care how many guide i need to research as i only scold someone who asking about very lil problem without any thought of reading first. but its up to u to manage ur own rom, but make it superior than edgar 7.2,its not like i dont like his work, but i dont like da language his using for his release on forum, its like i can read it, use proper english is better. less battery consumption and better gaming and video viewing also included.

i would search and research as many setting as i can and giv u feedback

I would rather use ram manager than v6, i dont really hav reason but i dislike v6 a lot. Dont integrated it for me, make it ur next release, and believe me, da most useful video playing for this fone is mx video player, i hav try almost 15 different video player and this one work perfectly. Make it into ur own rom, dont giv me da credit, u deserve it more. And do not rewrite da source code, juz let me find a way for my 2sd problem, da solution for mx player is enough for me, but if u manage to solve it, it would be da first rom can used 2 sd + a2sd script it would be really OWESOME. RELEASE da PERFECT, RUTHLESS, AND POWERFUL GAIA.

DEVICES DONT MAKE LEGENDS, HUMAN CREATE LEGENDS, AND ONLY GOD RECOGNIZED THAT.

terry@android / angelictears,

The latest 2.6.32 kernel from edgar is 2.6.32.9-EA_09012012. #37 is already considered old version.

You can download it via the link provided in androidPT forum.

Thanks for the suggestion, imo, replacing the gpu driver and firmware with root file manager does give me hangs not long ago testing updated driver for samsung phone which i don't remember what model, but with ardreno 200 family..

Although for those who want to test it, if anything happens, don't worry. You can recover back without reflashing. just boot up to recovery mode and just restore SYSTEM partition only with clockworkmod advance restore feature, can be found in the cmw menu, so search for it, totally handy. So that you don't need total wipe.

@ unsoul

That is perfectly normal for cm7 source based ROMs, it's actually a feature to let you know if the person you called answer or hang up, so that you can call someone with out even placing the phone on your ear, totally useful let say if your in a middle of something. You can disable/enable it under the settings -> Call setting , scroll down to find vibrate on answer / vibrate on hangup and disable/enable it at your will biggrin.gif

Hmm, you can try to disable all vibrating function during calls and see how it goes. Sometimes proximity aren't working and you have to force it in settings. When the screen doesn't turn off during calls, softkeys can also vibrate the phone. I do have to ask which kernel that you use now?

About the laptop, thanks again for the offer, it is useful for my 2nd code box biggrin.gif
So how about the delivery? Postage?

@ terry@android

I've run several test on the 2.6.35.13 EA, the one that you have me the link. It is a little unstable for me, performance wise it is great, but rebooting every 20mins and/or after or during a process running such as browsing or some good angry birds. Other than that it's pretty ok, tethering works and wifi kept on even on sleep are also working.

Also I found out the hard way that wiping dalvik cache can ruin the data2sd function resulting all apps are not installed or missing. I basically rebuilding my phone from scratch as much of my rooted tools app are apparently stored in the sd partition instead of the internal partition. Other than that performance is top notch with no lag at all (Im using swap)

I do not recommend data2sd for those who have no experience in android. Link2SD is still recommended for new user.

Thats why i said DO NOT FACTORY RESET, or do any changes in my guide after installing ungaze script, its apply to any script, coz system depending on sd to run after applying da script, indeed its for those who already master on android can use it, noob, stay on guide and keep asking to how to use it.

As for da adreno driver, for mine, 1st time was a failure, but i keep pushing so its working now, without sweat, that why i said dont try this at home, warning was been given right?

Right now, i m using da new kernel edgar releasing, juz like u said, da gb kernel given wasnt really useful, but maybe it will improve later on.

bout ur release, lets just making it, free compability, i mean, juz like gaia, it can adapt to any kernel pushed to it, so make it like that, da mx player if u dont wanna for ur next release, can u give me da way or can u upload ur rom with da player as system? really appreciated that.

I will try to find some good kernel to adapt to this fone, gb of course. so it will moving forward without boundary.

Well, as for me, my app was disappeared when suddenly my phone reboot, I think it was on 2.6.35.13 EA. Then I try many things to make the sd-ext working again, of course without wiping anything, as the partition are mounted and confirmed with storage info indicating that the partition is working properly, but the apps in it is somewhat like a broken install, the data are there but not registered as apps. Thus my last resort was to wipe dalvik cache, not total reset. After that, rebooted and it just boot to a blank screen. Again, reflashing my phone and restoring it to data2sd. The same thing happened with 2.6.35.13 kernel, I reflash again but this time using 2.6.32.9 EA#37 and SuperAOSP # CML1 which from stock Gaia, it works. So I presume that the 2.6.35.13 kernel doesn't support data2sd. I'm back to link2sd for maximum compatibility.

Keep me posted biggrin.gif it is very helpful as I can't really do much research as I usually not home. Although I heard rumor that ics kernel can be working on GB, although some kernel like the one that is in the ICS alpha 1.1 by PJ does have problems, I am currently testing if I can make older GB or 2.6.32.x kernel to be working in ICS, thus giving stability like we use now.

Any way, I can make a special ROM for you according to your spec, with codec and mx player preinstalled.

Have you try disabling all vibrate under call and contacts preference and heptic feedback via spare parts and Cyanogenmod settings -> Input. See if problem still persist. If no, then there's no problem with your setup.

Sure, I'm at kota kinabalu.

Not yet currently, I am currently trying to finished up for some codes, future proofing it to minimize the need to update it often, better make it all out rather than trying to fix every thing again and again smile.gif
And theres ICS, which I am currently experimenting, but it's my 2nd priority. Compiling it can be a little time consuming too later after I am finish with the code. So there's too many factors that I can't say the exact time.
