If is the same ahem discs that refuse to play and there are no particular error then definatly is the disc itself, ahem discs tend to have playback issue when it is either played few times or the disc may be dirty at some part.
*
The ahem disc should be part of the issue as they never have proper QC. I admit I do buy those cheap blu-ray disc but to my horror.. Drive Angry can't be play after 8 mins into movie. The Battleship I can finish playing the whole movie but both disc can't be rip to BD-ISO. Always read error message. I don't have any problem ripping ori blu-ray disc so far.

I guess we understand the problem on the quality of the disc. Is a total waste just to buy it and is not working well. Is not cheap as well

i am planning to buy a blu ray player, how can i test if the player is cinavia compliant?

need to play 'ahem' BD for half an hour then only can confirm (check whether the movie is muted or not) whether the player is cinavia complaint or not?

Just an update, info was given to me by the sales guy at Desa Home Theatre Kepong.
All new models now are Cinavia-compliant. Exception 1 or 2 models like the Pioneer he showed me which costs RM1,500+.

I asked about Sony BDP S380 but that model no longer in production. Pls do correct me if I have been given wrong info. Thanks.

Hi,

Where did you get this set and how much the price?

Are you happy with the set and is there any issues?

Thanks.

If the BD player can play Battle:Los Angeles (test for 1 minute) without problem, is it confirmed that the player is Cinavia free?

The purpose of such algorithm is to make it much harder to pin point and to crack.
