Sony having protection issue and mkv playback issue as well zzz you'll may get issues disc kept ejecting for no reason, until u cycled a few times, servo issues? not sure. |

I think they (sony) implemented cinavia protection mostly for Sony Pictures movie for copyrights. But, the protection is not unbreakable just that who are willing to take the risk if all movies are cinavia protected...and all current and future media players have cinavia, will this be the end of internet downloaded, bd ripped movies? |

Even old player with firmware update will be cinavia compliant also. So, as long as you're playing cinavia 'infected' content with cinavia compliant blu-ray player, then you will face the same issue with Sony player. |

But, the protection is not unbreakable just that who are willing to take the risk those "pro" will need some EXPENSIVE measure perhaps a "mod chip" , that requires reverse engineering of the players firmware, but i believe that is NOT going to happen, why you said? if you have 1000 firmwares you'll need 1000 kind of mod chips, not feasible, its over 5 years cinavia is still kicking butts.Playstation is different, they have limited versions. Even if you can bypass cinavia detection, you'll still cant removed it, without distorting the audio track. It has low entrophy yet extreme error correction rate, let say you manage to filtered 9,999 out of 10,000 of the encoded bytes, 1 is enough to trigger the protection. Its futile to resist... get originals Nowadays a new non-cinavia 3d players is collecting RM600-700 .. Why does many think Cinavia only affected Sony bd player ? Again I repeat what other says...all latest player mfg after Feb2012 is to comply to Cinavia or else u can't play original bluray.

QUOTE(formalin @ Oct 29 2012, 12:58 PM) Can anyone HELP? If is the same ahem discs that refuse to play and there are no particular error then definatly is the disc itself, ahem discs tend to have playback issue when it is either played few times or the disc may be dirty at some part. |
