i've used ip4 for almost a year until i traded for 7+...

there is no way it can be put on standby 10 days for ip4 (or did i got it understood wrongly?)

should you want your tab7+ to survive more then 24hrs can, just turn off your data 3g and set your screen brightness to the lowest and turn off all sound..lastly you can only play with your phone maximum 15 minutes per 24hours...

by doing these, you may be able to archive 24hours standby...but for me, it defeat the purpose of having this great tab..

for normal use ip4 i manage to get it use 2 day+ before charging.
the main purpose i need longer standby time is due to charging problem.
normal phone can use usb charging but tablet maybe not.
however, this is not issue any more as i found something intresting on 7+

DO YOU GUY TRY PLUG IN TO USB AND TRY CHARGE?
when i use 10.1 maybe it still can charge over usb but very very very slow
but this 7+ when i plug in to USB even the icon show not charging but my tab 7+ can fully charge from 85% to 100% in just 1 hour
any1 notice it?

Agreed. But, unlike you my previous hp was htc wildfire. The battery was worst than this and it lag also. So, having this tab which is miles smoother and better with better battery (at least for me), i say it's worth it.

Agreed. If you are looking for an android tab with better screen and not looking for gsm calling to make it a phone, by all means go for 8.9,10.1 or even 7+ for that matter. I took this solely because i wamted a tablet and i wanted a phone as well.

yeah... this phone is good for ppl need tablet with call function... if have extra and can wait... then go for best of both world the 7.7 (which might or might not release in the market)... If just for a tablet with better screen and not too big... go for 8.9

my last full charge was yesterday 2.51pm. at 2.51 pm today battery still got 25% left. wifi and bluetooth connection always on. gps, packet data and data roaming disabled. been using the tab for lite web browsing and gaming.
