well, if you don't want to copy contacts via gmail account. you can use your iphone and copy all the contact to your sim then to your laptop/pc. once you replace to new sim, copy again all your contact to tab+ from laptop.

for whatsapp,
always download from www.whatsapp.com , they have always latest version than the one at market (most of the time)

Ah yes. I totally forgot about that.

i'm enjoying this phone/tablet (depends on you ). only a few things i don't like but i'm more than happy to live with :

1. charging process is slower than my old HTC wildfire (duhh, it's a tablet)
2. facebook official app keeps force closed
3. viber app keeps force closed
4. friend caster somtimes also force closed


those force closed i believe it has something to do with the honeycomb. more updates coming i'm sure those will get fixed

I'm using it like a phone, sort of galaxy note on steroid when making call. Rkdiculous but i don't really mind :-).

Full charged at 6.50am and now at 8.55pm only 6% left.

Agreed. But, unlike you my previous hp was htc wildfire. The battery was worst than this and it lag also. So, having this tab which is miles smoother and better with better battery (at least for me), i say it's worth it.

Agreed. If you are looking for an android tab with better screen and not looking for gsm calling to make it a phone, by all means go for 8.9,10.1 or even 7+ for that matter. I took this solely because i wamted a tablet and i wanted a phone as well.

It could be your whatsapp notification setting. Because my whatsapp is showing 'x number of messages from this contact' or 'x number of messages from 2 or 3 contacts'

Hello guys, i want to ask about the charging process.

Is it adviseable to leave the tab connected to the charger from 11pm to 6am. The battery at 11pm is going to be around 2-3% only. Will it actually kill the battery(or phone even) faster?

Guys, any recommended casing? i think it's time to purchase casing (be it skin protector like idefense or leather casing). i almost dropped it once 3 days ago. argh!

Can i know what format that your DVD TV Series were ripped into? how about the resolution?

i have installed MOBO player in my 7+.

i'm the tab 7+ user that is using this as a main phone+unlimited data plan . my advice, install the screen protector and buy anymode or any other cheap option casing that is THIN so that you can actually slide it into your jeans pocket (slacks for working/student depend on your size. fat like me of course can put into the slack with ease ).

other than that, yeah, do buy a bluetooth earphone. OR, if you don't mind the weird look when people are staring at you, you can actually use it as normal phone as its earpiece and mic are good. i havn't use bluetooth earphone YET .

Hahahaha. No need to be scared bro as i'm here to confirm that it IS hard to pull out especially when i was about to answer a call, i looked like a total idiot trying to take a big piece of metal out of my pocket (i don't have bluetooth earphone YET).

So, if you have a bluetooth earphone and you are using this device as a phone as well, it should be no problem i guess .

To enable mobile internet just click activate data network. Here is a tip for you, if you are not going to browse any data-heavy website or you are not streaming any youtube video, choose GSM mode instead of GSM/WCDMA(auto). With this setting, your phone will only use EDGE speed max and it will consume less battery as phone does not have to search around for any HSDPA connection.
