so far, in my short involvement in silver investment, i havent across any sellers with perth mint bar.
i dunno if others have found such seller.
but if ure looking for PAMP kilobar, its quite known here and some sellers in SLS have em.

in short, yes.
u make profit when u sell if the current spot price is higher than the spot price during u buy.

lets say,

12/10/2011
spot at usd32
u buy a morgan bar at rm125

next year,
12/10/2012
spot at usd50 (assumption)
u can sell ur item around rm200 easily, or even higher.

i dont think the price of dragon is dropping, but the seller is desperately in need of money.
IINM, i saw the same seller from last night or this morning, rm420>rm399>rm388

i cant really say how much its worth right now. in SLS, they just simply put the price coz the things not even reach our shores yet.
later u'll see, when the dragons started to arrive, all reseller will be trying to sell theirs at the highest price possible.
the market will then respond, whether they agree or not with such price.
my opinion is the first few sellers can sell at a higher price, then the price will slowly going down at a reasonable rate once other reseller lower down their selling prices in order to compete...
but then again, no one will surely know coz this is a limited mintage item.
i myself is buying both the colored and gilded version for my own collection, not for sale (for now )

i think the price will be stagnant until FOMC meeting on 14th.
The outcome of that meeting will determine whether the price will move upwards or downwards.

fb group is a good idea for now. but for the group to be more efficient, it should be regulated.
eg, sellers should be vetted by the admin, admission to the group is supervised or by invitation only etc.
but this wud be abit troublesome to maintain la...

luckily i havent encountered such situation.
so far have been selling to around 10 ppl in SLS.
just 1 transaction where the seller was late around 45mins.

as far as i know, 1 thread is only for 1 person. cannot share with others.

as far as i know, there are 4 main different type of 2012 lunar dragon by perth mint.

1- 1oz Proof coin (mintage 5000) sold out within 2 hours of sale. on ebay is around AUD150-AUD500. so far i havent found this in SLS. if im not mistaken, prophetjul managed to get 1 unit.
2- 1oz Colored coin (mintage 10000) priced around rm420-600 in SLS. this is the red dragon
3- 1oz Gilded coin (mintage 50000) priced around rm420-600 in SLS. this is the gold dragon
4- 1oz Bullion coin (mintage 300000) priced around rm380-450 in SLS. this is the normal coin u saw in SLS, i think.

only the first three type comes with box and numbered certificate of authenticity.
i dont really know what is the different between the proof coin and the bullion coin, i havent seen a proof dragon yet.

i suggest that we should make a document in the group, with the namelist as well as the LYN nick. how's that sound?

maybe it will not help much, but at least we can know who's who in the group and LYN. so, before dealing in fb, we can do some background check on the seller/buyer.
scammers will still find a way to exploit this, but we need to double our effort in protecting our interests as buyers/sellers also.

nope. its not a tag on ur profile like the safe trader tag. but its a 'precious metal' tag in the garage sales to identify and categorise our sales.
if u open garage sales now, u can see tags like "small accessories" "jumble sale" "software" etc...
that's the tag they'll give us. and it doesnt help much in identifying reliable and trustworthy sellers/buyers...
for that, we must take our own precaution.
