The 5 finger pinching gesture is actually hiding the apps in the multi tasking position, it does not really quit the apps but just pause it. To completely quit the apps, you need to press and hold the app's icon till it wiggle in the multitasking panel and press the "x" button(like deleting apps on your springboard).

Precisely, 4 fingers slide up from the bottom of the screen.

You can't do that with the iPad official Facebook app, anyway I prefer using "Fera" as the UI is more nicer and have more features.

Did you drop your ipad?

It's a hardware defect for sure, restoring the FW won't going to solve the problem. Guess you need to send it to some idevice servicing shop since I assumed the warranty is already over.

There are a plenty of PDF reader you can find in the AppStore, I installed Acrobat Reader and it's free.

You can claim your warranty at North Point MidValley in KL and there's another Apple Service Centre at Jalan Yap Kwan Seng.

In order to do that you need to jailbreak your ipad. Last time we use "winterboard" and add theme to perform this task but not sure there's any other new tweaks that can perform this now.

Not that I heard of,....Apple limitations . Jailbreak is the only option if you really need those features.

I am also with iPad 2 running on iOS 7.0.4, so far no issue like what you stated. I suggest you restore the iOS FW again and check whether the problem still persist. Your iPad may have respring to the "safe mode", that's why the background become black and do you get the wallpaper back after you restart your iPad after that?

I suspect something have mess up with your system, you can try a hard reset first or maybe iOS restoring. I don't have issues with my iPad 2 running on stock 7.0.4 or after jailbreak, just a lil' lag compares to iOS 6.

Try this, restore the iOS and set it as a new iPad instead of restoring the settings(do make a backup of your settings just incase it's important). Check if you still encounter the problem again.

Guess not as it was running fine on my iPad 2 and jailbreaked as well.
