Never try it before but IMHO there's a reset option in the Settings where you can clean wipe the entire contents in your iPad and reboot with default Apps without restoring from the itunes.

How to check my iPad battery usage like iPhone ?

Correct me if I am wrong, I don't think iPad have that option. Anyway, you can download "Battery Doctor" from Appstore to manage the battery usage.

It can only go as far as showing the percentage of the battery but nothing comprehensive as what the iPhone can show.

When you launch the Contact App it will display as a book form, on the bottom left page will have a "+" sign for adding contact while the "edit" button suppose to appear on the bottom right page for any contact you selected on the left page.

If you purchase Apple products, you will usually register only upon setup. All warranties will be registered and maintained in the Apple server. Therefore, you will not really need the receipt as a proof of purchase.

Have you attempt to restore it as a new iPad instead of restore from backup? Backup 1st before attempting this and see if the 'Edit' button is there or not.

You can transfer them back through iTunes but it'll be a hassle, no doubt. Make a backup copy 1st and ensure that all the apps are in iTunes before proceeding.

WiFi version doesn't have GSM module which incorporates the GPS module.
So you won't have GPS on your iPad 2 WiFi.
