Can you guys recommend a masonry drill bit for impact drill (I'm using Skil 6613 which has 13mm keyed chuck) that's suitable for boring a ~25mm diameter hole on clay/sand brick wall.

I need to bore the hole to pass a 15mm pvc pipe. This is more like one-off job so it's highly preferable that it won't dig a hole in my wallet like diamond core bit would. That one I believe gives the nicest boring result but the drill bit is highly expensive and beyond my budget
*
Is the 15mm bit expensive?

I brought a 25mm(not mistaken) concrete bit for RM45.

15mm pipe has about 22mm diameter. The one you bought is for what type of shank? All regular concrete drilling bits around that size that I found on local online store, require SDS shank. Haven't found one that's meant for hex/3-jaws shank
*
SDS

Use on concrete floor to insert pvc pipe.

I don't think you can get a straight shank bit for concrete at that size.

Dear sifu,

If i am looking for a drill for my house renovation includng drilling holes into wall for art piece, what power drill should I buy?

Based on my study, I found that impact drill is the right one to go because is easier to drill in concrete. Furthermore, it can drills in tiles too.

Read back and you know what to buy.

Today I use the 10.8v grinder to cut some metal bar.
Cuts much faster than my dremel.
Its also quieter than the dremel when spinning, generate much more sprarks than dremel when cutting.

[attachmentid=8221200]
*
Sure quiet la. Since the rpm is lower.

How long that 10.8v battery can run?

your reasoning is possible too. but we dont know lor until some one gives review.

but hor as you mention, if these specis found in MY, we should be getting Mahogany dining tables for around 1k right?
since ppl might have found it fallen n rotting at fringe jungle for free? just charge labour to chop it down to size n send to your house. biggrin.gif
*
I see a lot fallen and dead tree around. Mostly been chop and lay for don't no how many yrs. Can see the core damn hard rock after that long seasoning. But I don't no what sepsis.

But of course you can't chop the tree down anyhow. Illegal. But those fallen and dead wan.

Malaysia is strict for export. And left Indonesia export more.

Good wood is only have in our Tropicana jungle.

good wood doesnt mean have to be rock hard tropical woods le. ours is quite also rough type like chengal balau etc.. make into TNB pole or railway track can la. highest i see is they make dining tables out of our wood.

so many super expensive ones from africa and south america also.. wait till u see zebrano or birds eye maple furniture, when its properly finished. the wow factor is there.
*
Later I go in jungle check it out those tree. Normally I just walk by and see only.

Fallen tree we see here are not very good without process. Like rubber wood.  If I want to use these kind of wood, best option is use IKEA kitchen top.
*
Just need to chop it nice and take it out ?

Seasoning it and sand it fine.
