QUOTE(mrbs84 @ Nov 18 2015, 11:48 PM) Hi Guys Need some opinion on compact cordless drill. First time buying a drill for myself (my dad use some no brand one, use for few month then spoilt already), prefer some long lasting & heavy duty. Using for normal house job like drilling a wall, wood and mainly using for diy project. Which is attached a clamp to the drill, and make the drill as a shaker. Maybe around 1k bottle per session for shaking. Something like the attached picture . My current choice is Milwaukee M18 Fuel. Is there any other drill equivalent with the Milwaukee, in terms of performance? Budget below 1k. Thanks makita or bosch. milwaukee is china company.

I saw that single arm guide in CT, but I would prefer the double arm design. The saw guide allows you to rip up to what size? 30cm? use the kreg version, can rip 4x8 plywood into 2.. so it means 2feet rip capability

QUOTE(yushin @ Nov 2 2016, 10:43 PM) Ya... that too. My small circular saw can't cut deep enough if I attach it onto that jig. also the blade matters. get one of those diablo red blades.. nice stuff for cutting solid wood..

QUOTE(kengyan @ Nov 3 2016, 11:35 AM) https://world.taobao.com/item/536579964098...._u=32ag3ukl05f4While I'm still waiting this to come to my house, by the look and design only I'm sure it will be better than rip cut guide. Not all people has a long hand, not to mention you get better support when 2 hands are holding the saw compare to 1 hand on the guide, another on the saw. For smaller and lighter saw it may not have much problem but with bigger saw, it could be a problem. a good track saw is always better as you can cut on all sort of timbers. but make sure the track saw shoe or base can suit or fit your saw. for plywoods the rip cut jig should be fine, cos it rely on the factory edge to cut (edge of plywood, which is 100% straight out from the factory)

QUOTE(ozak @ Dec 5 2016, 12:21 PM) Thought you're carpenter boss. haha no la.. woodworking only discover early last year.. but these knowledge already been accumulating since 20years ago.. just didnt know DIY can lead to "custom" projects, since many old hand local carpenters already retired.. and now trend is hand made/custom made /real wood. (instead of those fake wood laminate/ikea trend)
