QUOTE(roxx @ Apr 15 2015, 01:49 PM) Remember when I was using impact drill to drill my old house (previously build using hard red blocks) took me forever to drill a hole..!! Change to rotary hammer and VOILA..!! I have the same experience. But with bigger drill bit size. Using smaller size Drill bit can be drill on concrete. Slower.

QUOTE(idoblu @ May 19 2015, 02:59 PM) I very fail in DIY hang one mirror - two holes only also senget wan Today I was supposed to install my 42in flat screen TV. Only 4 bolts. I measure here measure there. Got use spirit level beam to check level or not. In the end, still senget a bit and one hole, cannot fit the bolt. I already marked the spot where I want to drill. I check and recheck many times to make sure its level everything. Still tabuli.....manyak failed In the end, only 3 bolts holding my TV wall mount. I still got one TV to go.....I sked now Learn from mistake lor. Drill wall wont get that precise 1. It is after drill and mount, how you correct the level, adjust here and there. I mean solving the problem is important. Use a nail to punck a pilot hole. Than use small drill bit to drill first. Just less than half depth is enough. Than change to the desire drill bit and drill all the way. It is troublesome abit. But give you better accuracy for beginner.

QUOTE(idoblu @ May 19 2015, 04:40 PM) My drill bit didn't run. I start out with slow revolutions. It's a 10mm bit and the holes on my tv mount has no vertical play, only horizontal can be adjusted. But I dunno why lari. 😔 After you mark the hole, have you check it out with the frame before drill? Actually you still can repair and use the hole. There is a way to solve such problem.

QUOTE(idoblu @ May 19 2015, 05:40 PM) Ok tomorrow I go find my wooden wall plugs So make bigger hole only right? But it won't solve my senget problem. I think three bolts should be enough gua? If leonhart88 can build a second storey, I think my TV won't drop la 😆 You wait for him hang his TV. Maybe whole wall will fall down. Don't use wooden wall plug. Cause the plug have a hole in the center. The screw can't offset if a hole in the center. Just search your side got some contractor throw some unused wood or waste wood. You need small portion only. If you drill the hole to 10mm size, than chip off the wood slightly bigger than 10mm. Hammer the wood into the hole. Chip off the extra protrude out. Hang back your frame. Now the wood is flat with the wall. Your screw can screw into any offset between the wood. Kautim.

If you drill for such a frame without experience,
1) measure and drill 1 hole first. 2) hang the frame on it. 3) Put the levelling on the frame. Once level, trace the slot with pencil. 4) Takeout the frame, and drill the remaining hole.
This give you better accurate.

QUOTE(idoblu @ May 28 2015, 08:21 PM) dunno man, i sked liao. i still got one more to hang. i marked it and drill accordingly but when the bolts are tightened, the whole thing lari.... You can try adjust when bolt tighten that time. Don't full tighten and left some small play. Put the level and knock up/dowm to adjust. But small level out is no big deal la. Just put on the TV and see can minor adjust or not.

QUOTE(idoblu @ May 28 2015, 10:27 PM) Cannot. There is no play at all. Once the bolt is in, that's it. Anyway I'm done with this one. I'm worried about the next one. I still dunno what went wrong, which means there is a great possibility that I will screw up again in the next TV mount. You got to figure out what when wrong before start another 1.

Very sad to see its senget about 5cm 😞 Dunno why off by so much. Could it be the screws moved under the weight? anyway I'd made a mistake of not adjusting the bracket to offset the wall plate level which is off Yes I used plastic wall plugs. No need metal la, this is not hanging off the ceiling but the wall Can see or not the sengetness? From picture cannot see 1 la. Your wall bracket sure for 65" tv?
