Thank you for the input.
Good option. For RM20 extra, can get more powerful machine and extra bits.

Get 1 and try la. Very cheap only.

From bunning ? smile.gif

It is a latest model to replace the old 1. Everything similiar accept some enchance the torque side I quest.

But why you want 2 impact tools ? The impact drill can use as impact driver too.

no , sydney tools.

those two got very different speed and torque ratings

best leave drilling to one and screw driver to the other..

when u do alot of wood working you will know

when i do heavy work on to mild steel and aluminum, i use the bosch 14.4 impact..that punches thro the self tapping screw into raw metal
*
If you do a lot of wood and metal, should get a drill. Instead a impact drill. Drill have more accurate drilling compare impact drill. The impact drill is using jaw chucking type?

QUOTE(ar188 @ Sep 7 2015, 11:21 PM)
but u also can use impact driver with hex chuck head.

i tell u, when u drill thro mild steel.. it just bangs in real fast.. but as u said la.. maybe not so accurate on softer stuff like wood... for steel..no issue. it just locks on into the hole.
*
Yup correct. That's why I get 1 impact tool is enough.

Drilling metal cannot use impact mode as is easily spoil the drill bit. Metal drill bit is only HSS material.

as i said wood working ma.. use two in combination.. pre drill before u insert screw. so that u dont damage the wood.

its a 2 step process.. u dont switch between the drill and screw bit.. every minute

How this drill perform on hard wood?

Did some shopping to look for rotary hammer.
Since I am not heavy user, just look around for a cheaper unit.

Mr DIY: RM 208 for 800W ( 3 days warranty)
Boyai: RM 179 for 800W ( 3 days warranty)
Starke plus / Strake 710W: RM 258 ( 3 months warranty) from Giant
Skil 1715: RM 266 from CSM (No stock, must order)

Went to Giant kemuning utama: Starke plus / Starke 710W selling only for RM 150.

Grabbed the Starke plus 710W. More powerful compare to the other one.

What crap drill is this? 3days warranty?

guys, currently i m using Skil 2414 Cordless Drill for casual DIY use.
can drill through the big grey brick wall with no sweat.
When it comes to the red small brick and concrete, I cannot penetrate not even 2mm  sweat.gif  sweat.gif

now thinking to change with Cordless Drill Bosch GSB-1080-2-Li comes with impact function 18,000 beat per minutes.
is this recommended? anyone had experience using this drill?

how is it compared to your makita cordless?
*
If you see properly, my makita cordless is an impact driver. Mean for screw driving. Not for mansory.

Another 1 is wood/metal drill. The chuck doesn't suit for impact and it don't have impact mode. sad.gif

Is it fastening torque ?

It can do the job. But very slow.

I rather use my cord Bosch impact drill.

You should be lucky to have concrete wall. Concrete wall last very long. No plaster problem.

But only need to beware of leaking at joining side.

guys need some advise on these 2 units. My main purpose is to drill a hole in a concrete wall to hand photo frames etc.. which can do the job? thanks in advance =]

Bosch GSB500RE vs GSB 1300 Impact Drill
*
You don't need to drill a hole anymore to hang a photo frame.

Go to ACE and get the 3M picture frame hook to stick.
