If you read up his work, you'll know he dosent use tele lens, which is dangerous for people like him who work as war photojournalist

There's no rules about what lens to use though generally speaking, the closer you are to the subject... the more involved and intimate the photo will feel.

I think it was Bruce Gilden who said "it's a streetphoto when you can smell the street looking at it"

Anyway.. tonight bring you guys go pasar malam walk walk.

i tot the rules of lens for street photog is basically wide.

Common focal length used are 50mm & 35mm...
wider also better

Common FL is 21, 24, 25, 28 and 35. 50 is a bit tight tho.

Shooting beggers does not really says you belittle them or what. It depends on how you use the photo. If you capture the essence, its more of emotion and expression being conveyed.

This one cannot be achieved by just single snap lo.. I can't find the vid now but sometime ago I saw this vid on youtube about a female photographer who documents this homeless couple living underneath the sewers/subway lines. That was awesome.
