Just want to ask you some questions~  blink.gif

I have a CIMB Debit card, but every year need to charge the annual fees RM8 as I less to withdraw every time.

I want to change from Unlimited cash withdraw (annual fees RM8 per year) switch to Limited cash withdraw (limited ONLY can withdraw 6 times per month, if I'm not mistake nod.gif ), is it possible can do it?

This is because some people say you cannot do this, the only way is terminate this account number, and then create the new account that is limited cash withdraw.

Is this true?  rclxub.gif

Your is basic saving account or what?? If basic saving account then you can request for it. If yours is regular saving account then you cant have the option....

If I'm not mistake, my one is regular saving account. Is there any different between regular saving acc and basic saving acc? unsure.gif
*
Yes, there is a different... Basic Saving account, u just need rm20 to open a saving account and the interest rate some kind are higher but it was statement based account... U need to maintain rm20 inside... While regular saving account, u will need certain amount of $$$ to open the saving account... Some bank will not imply that need maintain a min amount of $$ inside....

Just a noob question here.. I was just wondering whether we are able to use the debit card purchased in 7-Eleven for paypal transaction?

Furthermore, do we need the debit card to have our name on it for any paypal transaction?

Hope that any of the seniors here could enlighten this to me.

Thanks.

hi guys, need your help.

may i know how many working days needed to receive back my money due to pre-authorised at petrol stations?

7 working days?

if exceed this time frame, who should i blame? the petrol station or my own bank?

want to know more on this pre-authorise thingy..is it government regulations or bank regulations... smile.gif
*
Is it regulation for the saving account/ debit card to have pre-authorization payment when sign for petrol... It will hold or deduct rm200 after about 10days then it will return back to you and deduct the actual amount that you pumped....

This is ATM card and not Debit Card.... You can change the card... Just walk-in your opening account branch and ask them change to debit card for you. It was mastercard but it will not able do online transaction currently...

This afternoon went to pump petrol, first i insert my credit card but it replied with message "transaction canceled", tried again 2nd time, also "transaction canceled" - (it means unsuccess .)
Than I tried with my debit card, the screen come out with message "please remove card." I thought the transaction also got canceled (unsuccess)!
So i take my card and drove away without filling petrol.
After that i think back the situation, i realized that the transaction on debit card was actually successful but i didn't pick up the pump to pump petrol. What if the  next person who came to fill petrol, he was able to just pick-up the pump and pump petrol for free and the charge will be debit into my account !  doh.gif
*
If transaction is unsuccessful then it will issue receipt but without amount that been charged... If it didn't issue receipt then it was successful and u can pump petrol.... If the next person are bad then they will pump and the amount are been charged to you.... U check your bank account see whether there is rm200 on hold or been deducted....

Yup, that's right. The key is to activate the overseas function at a MBB ATM before leaving the country. If it works in one country, it will work everywhere.
To note, you can't call CS to activate the function (even though it is life or death) - they won't entertain such request for security purposes.
*
I not activate at ATM... Before I went, I call CS and activated it.... I can swipe it but I not sure about withdrawing it....

Hoping to find someone to clarify what I should do. I recently bought something online from the Apps Store but forgot check my balance. I added funds into the account and everything should be fine but when I tried to add funds to my Steam Account(which I have done multiple times) it tells me the transaction has been declined by my bank. Question, is my Debit Card disabled due to the bad purchase? Should I call customer support to clarify or will the Bank allow me to use it again after a few days?
*
If you have no enough balance for the payment at Apps Store, I dont think you can have successful transaction... I not think it related with bad purchase....

I think mostly all local bank offer a fixed charge impose on withdraw made on other bank ATM (RM1).. While oversea bank will be around RM8 if not msitaken... Debit card in Malaysia is been used as Credit card.... I used mine Maybank Debit card and swipe at Legoland, Godiva, MBO, etc... It just different is Debit card you only manage to swipe if have the available fund inside also it cant be made for installment...
