looking to get a debit card, any recommendations ?

mostly using on petrol

some of them offer cashback but it's like for esso, mobil etc

but in puchong/subang area not much of them are around

mostly petronas, shell, bhp and petron

any ideas ?

Hello guys can someone PLEASE teach me step by step how do i activate my Maybank Debit Card? I desperately want to buy Iphone online from apple store malaysia. I called maybank hotline & it wasn't helpful the guy talking was talking like a torpedo, i should not understand him. He was telling me to activate phone banking, but i'm asking about internet banking? I went to the nearest Maybank branch & they too weren't helpful. They told me to call the hotline.zzz!

#Who is pro maybank debit card here? Can tell me he/her name, i want to tag.

Thanks but i just need to purchase something from apple store, still need to create account at m2u online? When i ask maybank they say something need to activate phone banking and call them to get msos?   I dont understand.

Then do you know what is msos or something like that? The hotline number is it 24 hours???

Hi everyone, first time posting in this section so if my following question have been answered elsewhere do kindly point me the correct thread/post.

So I've started using my Alliance Bank Debit Card (The normal Mastercard ATM Card with Debit function) to pay for fuel at Petronas...I noticed that the amount charged was not deducted form my account and for each time I use (now twice) there is an "Earmarked Amount" of RM200.00...so currently there's RM400.00 "Earmarked Amount".

Now, this normally isn't an issue but the amount earmarked cannot be used for any transactions nor can it be withdrawn. Now, I'm a bit of a OCD so I sorta want to know whats going on...it's kinda driving me nuts lol.

Any help/comment in regards to my situation is very much appreciated.

So you're it takes out RM200.00 each time I refuel with my debit card?..I have 400 earmarked already >_<

Guys,I tried purchasing some posters from a US site using my maybank debit card and it turned out that the site does not ship to Malaysia.The amount paid was refunded by the site but why am i being charged again with the same amount by the bank>?

The first one says "PREAUTH SALE" and it has been refunded under "REV PREAUTH"
The second one just says "SALE" and it has not been refunded yet.
I've contacted the seller and according to them,they have already given a refund.So is this the bank's fault?

Theoretically; I lost my wallet and it contain my Maybank Debit Card & my I/C among with other things.

Even if someone came and give me back my lost wallet with everything intact, it still mean that anyone that took a pictures of my Maybank Debit Card and my I/C will be able to use my debit card on online, right?

Afterall, that's all it need?

thanks for the reply.i already went through the origin webpage.it seems like the transaction was rejected somehow and i SHOULD receive an email from them regarding the failed transaction but so far nothing atm.
maybe it has something to do with the current available balance in my SA

ok i found out that the amount of pre-auth debit is the amount i should spend on buying the headset from valvestore but i tried using my debit card to buy but then the site came out error saying that i cant use it which mean it should fail.. so i was shock.. y is it in the pre-auth debit session when i fail to buy it and if suceed  my email should receive  notification since my item will be ship IF SUCCESS so.. fail should be charging nothing @.@

wa.. A FEW MONTHS.. i think if i didint get back my $$ my 1 or 2 day i will call ><

Just to update this matter. The currency rate charged is base on Maybank website already. It does not refer to visa exchange rate website anymore
