Yes it is Unionpay protocol issue, for Android and Malaysia ISP / SIM Card. Not related to a particular App (AirAsia/MAS also failed). Already happened for a few weeks but Unionpay MY yet to rectify it.

I could enter the OTP verification when switching to a Hong Kong SIM card (Android). (but I could not log into Lowyat account!)

Now resolved. Protocol error for Malaysia ISPs (except iOS) from mid May to early June.

You can use UnionPay to buy MH and AK tickets.

Lazada use Malaysia Time (UTC+8), not like Shopee (UTC Time) you need to wait till 8am.

Unionpay Card must be Unionpay Savings account.
Lifestyle Mastercard/Visa can be any CASA except Unionpay SA and RCB-related CASA. But RCB Mastercard is allowed for MasterCard campaign.

P/S:
I got RM180 Visa Overseas + RM80 MasterCard Online + RM200 Unionpay for June. Now waiting for Petron - July.

Don't go back to home branch.
Go to another branch to open a Basic Savings Account and ask for Lifestyle MasterCard. And apply for a PB-Petron VISA Debit Card via email.

Then when you go back to KL, open a BSA there.

You cannot have 2 debit cards for same CASA. But you can open different type of CASA, eg yours is UnionPay Savings Account, not Generic/Basic SA.

PB Petron Visa Debit is not available at branch, must apply like credit card (but no need income document). I got it in 2 weeks, card directly from Card Centre (same like credit card).

I got it some years ago, with a tourist Visa from China.

Ya UnionPay SA is better than Basic/Generic CASA.
Some months I earned RM10 monthly bonus. (But now very short term fund are kept in TNG / GX / Aeon Bank)
