I'm using a Grundfos pump for my house. It's a CH2-50PC model, cost me slightly more than 1.2k
The model is the same as in the following link.

Grundfos Pump

Hope that helps.

Grundfos is the leading brand.

I would not advise you to go for pump.
I'd suggest you to get the "direct water" from water meter.

if the direct water pressure to low then how ?

why you advise not to go for pump? cause the pressure caused your old pipes/joints to leak ?

Unlikely. Direct water pressure is pretty high.
The pressure is good enough to deliver the water from reservoir to your house.

I suggested direct water because it's cheaper.
Electricity free. Maintenance free.
For my house (a semi-D), it only cost me MYR600 (labor and & material).
The water pressure is very high (even it passthrough an outdoor Diamond master filter).
No regrets since day 1.
The "tangki water" will be automatically triggered when there is water rationing.
I only use "direct water" for the shower heads.

i got the same grundfos pump CH2-50PC, for about RM1.2k.

yes i did have some leak at the tangki and toilet sink incoming joints, but these can be spotted easily when u run the pump for a day or two. then just need to rectify.

so far, pressure has been really strong, all my shower heaters are without built in pumps, and yet shower pressure is excellent! smile.gif by the way, i have 5 toilets in the house, and even with ALL of the taps running, pressure is still good smile.gif

Is ur house a new area? After 3-4 years, u might change ur mind...

The direct water might b strong now but few years later when the gov pipes got clogged or when ur neighbours start to use water together, the pressure will become weak. When the water pressure becomes weak, u nd to add a pump but after few years only adding a pump, you will have some headache as u nd 2 prepare the wiring, redo the piping and might have some place leaking. If u install a pump now when u r renovating ur house, u will save the headache in the future.

Moreover, if there is water rationing, how are you going to shower?

zheilwane, mine is new house. going renovate this week (fastest).
if i bought grundfos pump CH2-50PC from you, what are the cost?
1.2k include installation (everything). do i need to ask wireman to drag wire to the tangki. or u need to send someone to see see my tangki or environment 1st. see whether can install Grundfos or not.

when i install Grundfos, all of my paip will be strong even direct link from water meter?

I don rmb quoting u RM 1.2k with installation...definitely u can install a water pump, dont nd to check. Few things to do

1) Prepare a switch for the pump and drag it near to the tank's outlet, then prepare a socket point there for the pump to plug in.
2) If it is outdoor, prepare a shelter for the pump as it is not water proof.
3) Make sure that the pipes are connected to your water tank and not direct water. (If new house, it is connected to water tank but 2nd hand, may b the previous owner modify it to direct water)

Hi bro, sorry to bring up the old thread.

May I know why NO NO water pump direct connect from gov main water pipe? It can spoil the pump when pump stop running? Thanks.

According to SPAN guidelines, all tappings from service pipe other than the pipes to kitchen sinks shall only be channeled to storage / break cistern to avoid contamination in the main pipelines.
Pumping system is only allowed at the downstream of storage cistern.
