Hi guys. The bottle of Mr. Hobby cement I bought doesn't stick the plastic part at all. I was wondering how did you guys stick them together.
*
Mr. Hobby cement only works on ABS. There are some parts which are die-cast metal so you need superglue. Apply your cement on both place where its going to glue together, wait a while before pressing them together. Mr. Hobby not as powerful as Tamiya's or Mr. Cement but works also, cept slower. rclxms.gif

Ya, I am currently using Tamiya's cement. Works well on any plastic surface and dry up consider quite fast also.

Be careful when using super glue and avoid using it on ABS (plastic) surface, as it will "eat in" to the plastic surface. After dry up and the surface will become "white spotted" and spoil the paint on it. Super glue also dry up too fast and you won't able to adjust the glue position if you want to.

That gold piece looks like some sort of decals for the exhaust or suspension area..rear suspensions.

Have u started your yet, sunny? i havent started yet as i havent buy the cement glue yet.

Can we use that "elephant" branded blue as the Tamiya cement glue? Isnt that elephant glue also super glue that also eats thru plastic and create some white marking around the application area?

Using "elephant" one so far didn't eat through the ABS, but left some white marking behind. I stick to ABS cement as its better and easier to manipulate for ABS on ABS. DIe-cast, use the superglue sparingly. rclxms.gif

Bro, you need to use small portion of superglue only, use toothpick to sapu the glue to the plastic. I manage to glued 1:43 diecast side mirror (black coloured & plastic) without any white spot.

Thanks for the tips. however I am still struggling to stick the parts together with my bottle of Mr. Hobby Mr. Cement Limonene. For example the brake airflow from Issue 10 won't stick after 2 days even i tape them after applying the Mr. Cement. Am I doing it wrong.......

I'm rather disappointed here!

So far I've got only 4 issues! which I bought from the first batch of launch last year.

I had already started to subscribe again this September and till today I still didn't get anything from Issue 5!

And due to my hectic work daily I didn't get to follow up on my delivery status until late at 6pm yesterday I called them and she keep asking me in return, "I didn't send meh?". I keep telling her that I didn't even get charged on my credit card!

Then she said she will call me back on Thursday. I got none. Been to their office, really lousy company lah!

What's the latest issue now?

Try applying on both sides. I do that, then wait a while, then press them together. Maybe you can try applying, waiting a while (like 5-10 seconds) then apply abit more, then stick them together. Don't put too much. This is to melt the ABS a little.

Now that's more like it with close-up shots. Share link to the site. I want to see more! Then decide whether to get decal sheets or wait for theirs.
