Nice guys. Seeing the car coming to a completion is good. Sadly I have channelled my funds towards something else atm so still stuck at issue 25. T_T

What about the "general purpose adhesive" used from issue 69 onwards? The instructions specifically said not to use ABS adhesive.

Collinjn81, my current problem is a gap when I fitted the monocoque (the one with Aigo on the side). However, I had the same issue as you do. What I did was to tighten the screws below the car even more until the gap closed.

Aswlee, I just assemble monocoque, noticed that there a gap on left and right side and it is normal.

Monoque

Ahh, thanks. I'm using 5 minute epoxy, but apparently you have to be quite careful with it and use gloves and a mask.
Ran through a snag earlier in issue 73 with the front suspension but got a workaround to solve it biggrin.gif

Well elephant glue is cyanoacrylate adhesive which is used in other parts, especially metal components. The official DeA build diary used 5 minute epoxy as well.

Before this I not aware "General Purpose", glue.
And I did try using UHU adhesive, because it written "All Purpose" on label. I used it to assemble issue 76, it not stick as epoxy and leave marks.

Superglue also can use, it may dry within seconds.

Thanks, collinjn81.

On the glue topic,
For ABS, I used Tamiya extra-thin cement and Revell contacta professional (for those places where thin cement couldn't be used.

For general adhesive, I used UHU applied with a toothpick but I agree with collinjn81. Less sticky and takes some time to dry. Definately need tape to hold parts until it cures.

Apart from these 2, there's superglue for the metal parts.

Very stress for assemble issue number 74.. As mention by Aswlee, I also found there was a gap, on "sidepod cowl part" left site.

Planning to  fix the "sidepod cowl & copit, together with engine" next week. For my experience, it there was a gab, it will effecting other next issue.

Mine has that gap as well, but on the right side. Hopefully it'll even out once I assemble the monocoque onto the main body.

I already fix the gap.. As mention by Aswlee, I just unscrew all, and screw until the gap closed.
