QUOTE(xhruso00 @ Aug 1 2023, 12:46 PM) Rental unit. Report: My fan was rotating at slow speed and all tutorials pointed to replace one component one board. I have replaced it and fan got high speed. However the problem of slow speed came back within one week. Any advice? Other room, same deka fan but has some subtle noise. Any advice on what part to lubricate or check? slow on All Speed or certian speed setting? noise, u have to check, what type of noise.. grinding noise, nyet2 noise..ringging noise..

For those wish to using manual without connect the remote PCB, this is helpful. However, capacitor still needed, usually 2uF is enough. Ypu may change to 3uF to make it spin fast. **Update correct wiring** Red(Live) + Yellow(Speed 3) = connected Orange(Motor Live) + Black(Neutral) + capacitor = connected Blue(Motor neutral) + capacitor = connected This post has been edited by cgamer: Aug 4 2023, 06:27 PM

Uusally the 0.68uF capacitor also need replaced. The default value is 1uF if you check clearly in PCB, it print 1uF, 450V

QUOTE(Max @ Aug 3 2023, 11:03 AM) slow on All Speed or certian speed setting? noise, u have to check, what type of noise.. grinding noise, nyet2 noise..ringging noise.. Is stuck on speed 2/4. Won't get faster if I choose higher speed. Noise: subtle nyet. Tolerable at this level but still if can get rid of it I would be happy.

This one might need soldering kit. So far the "wire" solution was easy to perform. Not really happy about DEKA fans at all. QUOTE(cgamer @ Aug 4 2023, 08:57 AM) Uusally the 0.68uF capacitor also need replaced. The default value is 1uF if you check clearly in PCB, it print 1uF, 450V

Looking at getting some new ceiling fans for my new place and great to stumbled on this post. Yeah, I also have some Deka fans for my current place and out the 4 Deka fans, I have had my fair share of bad experience.
I will stick with mainstream Japanese brands for my new place.

QUOTE(Clueless07 @ Mar 29 2022, 12:46 PM) ....... KDK design is very out-dated, it has its share of issue as well. the mother board/capacitor always give issue. it can be repair with RM 80 parts, and RM 80 workmanship
...... What parts need to change?

https://deka.my/about-2/"Founded by three dedicated men who believe in making fans that anyone would want to get along comfortably every day." Should change it to three men who are dedicated to making crappy failure prone fans. Wonder if their water heaters are also problem cases. This post has been edited by imbibug: May 1 2024, 05:42 PM

QUOTE(imbibug @ May 1 2024, 05:37 PM) What parts need to change? just the pcb. The cheaper 3 blade ones suffers this problem after 5-6 years. depends on model, pcb on shopee is like 20-30 myr only.
