Thank you for your input but I was asking on the air flow; KDK is equally unreliable these days and not going to pay a premium for DC motor fan by Panasonic / KDK
*
Saw an article on the net which calculated the savings you get from a DC fan vs an AC fan.

Considering the higher price you pay for a DC fan, it would take you 7~8 yrs of 8hrs/day usage to breakeven. So currently i dont care about DC or AC, whichever suits i get...

I am surprised this thread is still alive after so many complaints of Deka fan products.  The conclusion is:

1. Deka distributor in malaysia dun care shit about customers complaint. they never responded to any threads here.
2. Dun try to make your deka fan go faster by changing the cap. Look at all the fan blades fell off pic in the earlier posting.
3. Low quality product with high price tag. stick to the reputable brand.

I came here cause I was looking at Pana/KDK (kdk is under panasonic anyway) fan and my wife says they are ugly and prefer Deka...

After all the reviews here.. I think I'll stick Panasonic..

I miss National though... using their fan for 16 yrs now... zero problem .. still as strong as day 1 and zero humming/buzzing/strange sound...

Sigh I bought bayu 5 Panasonic fans during 11.11 sales last year because kdk and Panasonic seems like a more reliable brand than deka

Ultimately disappointed no cooling effect whatsoever.. other fan salesman told me is because their motor capacity matched to steel blades which is heavier but I feel is the blades do not provide sufficient air flow

At the end changed a few to alpha fans which you are able to change the downrod easily if your ceiling height is not too high..
Panasonic you can't really change the downrod unless you customise a cover for the rod

Please stay away from Panasonic until they improve

I regret buying my windless wonder of a Bayoo 4 from Pana. Do you want to take it off my hands at 30% off? laugh.gif it is hardly used, I think in its lifetime only used less than 3 weeks worth of runtime.

The 2014 unit from probably first batch was OK
Then I went to top ten to buy the windless wonder in 2018 cos project almost complete tot have it ready first
Installed in 2019 and regret till now. I already put up take down from living room to middle room to now small room still kind of windless and making horrible scratching noises even when I stripped the fan center plate naked.

Cannot be I am so noob in installing fan (this is like the fifth fan I did), the rest all OK, and cannot be all three fan hooks were flawed to such great extent.

Exposed blade being safety hazard. Proper wall fan should be made with blade guard since its running at high speed. If the blade cracking phenomena also happen to ceiling fans..means that wall fan lagi at risk.

For same price u can buy two KDK wall fan. Wind very strong and directional across the living room.

Yeah same..ended up buying Alpha AX-60 to replace a 5 blade Bayu that was windless from day 1 + humming since 3 years of age (repaired the PCB board, humming was less initially but after 1 year it became very loud). Plan to change one of my old National Remote fan that is 21 years old and just started humming recently with the AX-60 as well.

Wasn't aware there was an existing thread.
Owner of 3x unit Deka Kronos 5 blade fans here - very unreliable.

Not even 2 years of full usage, 1 fan started having loud "swooshing" noise when in use for more than a couple of minutes - managed to claim warranty, changed entire motor. A couple of months later, another unit started having the same issue :x

Doesn't seem to work either, try to pry it open with plastic card also won't budge.

Anyone got idea how to open the cover for Deka F5-4P? All the video saw on YouTube mentioned turn counter clockwise but this F5-4P doesn't turn either way.
