Usually buzzing comes from motor not enough 'current' to turn.
Might try change capacitor 1st.. cheapest solutions if diy.

Btw, what model?

Anyone got Deka technician contact in Melaka. I have two problem with my deka ceiling fan the first problem is with the default speed 2 not working but other speed 1, 3, and 4 are working. The second problem is the remote control, I have replace the battery but the problem still persist like very hard to press the button to make it turn on no matter which button I am pressing.

Hi, so when the speed slows down, it is the problem with the capasitor? How do we change that?

BTW is this speed slowing down problem common with DEKA or any other brand as well?

Slowing motor most probably the caps broken..
Cheap solution is just to soldered out the caps and replace with same spec.
Any other brand also same.. just depends on the quality of the components..

Hi all, anyone using this Deka SX63?

I have mine and feel that it has weaker spinning compared to normal ceiling fan, is it normal?

How come this K9 model does not even appear / available in Deka's own official website?

I have no idea as well - perhaps it is an out of season model that is no longer in production but either way, got it installed last Monday and considering its price per unit, i am very satisfied.

Not bad looking as well and with 3 years warranty, should be able to give me the peace of mind.

My replaced Alpha ceiling fans "died" after close to 5 years of usage so hopefully these Dekas could last me just as long.

Faulty capacitors, common occurrence. It won't take long now for the entire fan to stop spinning entirely and then you will soon hear a buzzing sound.

You can confirm the fault (when the fan fails completely) by turning the power on and then give its fin a slight push its normal direction - it should start spinning but at a very low speed but don't let it continue or else you may fry the entire circuit board.

If you are moderately skilled in DIY then it is an easy fix for less than RM20.00 else it will be quite expensive to get a technician and with the travelling costs + workmanship + parts, you'd be better off buying a new one.

If I am not mistaken, I think i saw the exact one installed in my friend's house and yes it feels weaker and my friend complains about it being slightly less "windy" compared to his other 5 fin ceiling fans but i guess this is the trade-off for looking nice.

Designer fans like these are supposed to be used together with air-conditioners, think of it like an apparatus to circulate air.

Damn! Same thing happened to me this morning!

Luckily it happened at midnight but really strange how it broke off even when not in used...I still have another unit of this and few different models of deka fans in other rooms so you can imagine how I feel now.

One of the fan in my bedroom is also having same problem as mentioned above where it would 'beep' and restart by itself intermittently when I switch on/off other appliances. Not to mention the useless remote controls which I gave up after a few months of using and decided to buy a universal remote control instead.

Seems like all these are common problems for Deka and their QC is really questionable. 😡😡😡

EDITED: Deka called me and replaced my fans included the others affected one, so case closed.

I had the exact same model. And I had the exact same problem a few months ago.

I had the exact broken blade at the same spot.

This happened to one of my 3 fans. I contacted DEKA, and they have replaced all 3 fans for me (another model) FOC.

For the broken blade, I realized that there was some cracking sound for quite some time when I turned off the fan for few months. I never paid too much attention to that and on one morning, the blade gave way and was broken just like yours. Luckily no one was around during that time.
