Not from TNB. It is your income. And you have to declare in your income tax yearly. So you are in which percentage tax category.
Solar Power Generation, for home use/sell back to tnb

In SEDA website :
Yes, it is taxable income and any exemptions would require a policy decision from the Government. KeTTHA will monitor the progress of renewable energy growth in the country and conduct necessary analyses before putting forth any policy recommendations on this matter. Last updated : 26 OGOS 2011 |

QUOTE(Solar freak @ Sep 9 2013, 12:18 PM) It seems Sunpower module is not popular in Malaysia. Majority of the service providers are using modules from China. You might want to check with the service provider whether they want to special order for you.My service provider is willing to order for me but due to the low volume, the cost is a lot higher than the common available panels. Still waiting for the panels to arrive for this month end installation. |

I read in the Star that the Govt will increase electricity prices by 10+ % in 2014. Maybe they will slip in another 1% for SEDA fit quota in 2014.

Solar power starter cost is way beyond many of the average malaysians can afford, or bother to afford. using solar power to solve high cost electricity problem is like trying to douse a burning man with boiling hot water.

Hi sifus, anyone heard of this offer by SenQ?
http://www.senq.com.my/green-energy-green-money/ I got a quote from a company for RM43k for a 4kw system...this by SenQ is RM40.8k and got 100% financing...interest 5.5% with 10yr repayment.. Either use other companies and get alliance bank financing or use SenQ.. Is this feasible? |

QUOTE(KVReninem @ Nov 28 2013, 03:58 PM) I not sure it will be win win for consumer. If you talk about money, yes. The cost is lower down.But if you think deep and technical, we are getting sub quality and not technology. Nothing will be improve. Efficiency will be stand still. They are killing away those really improve the technology company. |

Check;
- brand / country of manufacture of panel n inverter. - interest rate is flat rate (think car fin rate) or nominal (house mortgage rate). Genrally flat rate is 2x more expensive than nominal rate. Ie 5.5% flat could end up being really like 11%nominal. More people don'tunderstand this point and pay double the 'price' of money ! Alliance is nominal rate. - check warranty and gty - FIT quota ? No quota now..... quote=wa1k3r,Nov 30 2013, 11:17 AM] Hi sifus, anyone heard of this offer by SenQ? http://www.senq.com.my/green-energy-green-money/ I got a quote from a company for RM43k for a 4kw system...this by SenQ is RM40.8k and got 100% financing...interest 5.5% with 10yr repayment.. SenQ is 85% financing, but they giving 15% rebate, meaning basically 100% financing...
Yearly repayment is RM5375 for 10yrs, so total payable incl interest at the end of 10yr term is RM53750...minus the original price of the system, total interest paid is RM12950 or RM1,295 per year... I think it's the nominal rate...which to me is quite fair Monthly repayment is RM448...if the fit can generate equal or higher than RM448 I think already untung...plus after 10yrs can enjoy 100% of the fit income, and all without forking out a single cent...not bad huh? At least that's what my simple mind tells me...of course there are other factors haven't included such as maintenance (after 3yrs) replacement parts due to fault (might happen)...but if think this way, then I'll forever be considering Again, my simple mind tells me even if I don't make any money from this, I still enjoy "discounted" electricity...whatever amount I make can be used to offset my actual electricity amount... It comes with 3yrs free maintenance...but no mentioned how long is warranty...I think can safely assume its 3yrs Need to find out more info...e.g the system is from where, does it include application and all the necessary paper works & submission (basically A-Z), installation cost not mentioned too...don't know if it's included... But if there's no quota available now, then all these is dont matter luuurr... Is it possible they already have quota on stand by, and they'll just issue the quota to any of their buyer? One more advantage I can think of if buy from senQ is this is considerably 'bigger' or more established company than those others...so chances of them going bust and out of business is lower...after the warranty period...it's still important maintenance is available...or course they can still shut down this one department if it's not making them any money.. Looks like its a good deal from senQ huh? Or is it? |

I say, i'm not sure how much depth there is. Let me ahare with you....
- flat rate vs nomial rate. I'm 90% sure its flat rate. Behind SenQ is Aeon Finance. Their cost of financing is way higher than a bank. They typically quote in flatrate (and unfortunately most people don't know or get conned...). Pls check with more depth.. - your numbers assume a) tariff rate, b) no of hours of sun assumed a day. Can you share the numbers? Yours (or SenQ) may be on the high side.... - guarantee or waranty available ? 1) i'm quite sure nobody guarantees the kwh output in Msia so the numbers are only indicative... 2) what solar panels or inverters are being used?a china 3rd grade no brand (last 5 years) vs a panasonic? Degradation? Warranty? Net net - the loan repayment is a legal liabilty which will definitely have to be paid (and not sur e if flat rate or nominal rate ???) - the revenue is based of a few factors (hours of sun, reliabily of eqpt, degradation etc) which is basically hope factor !! Hope factor to pay back legal loan liabilty. Hope you really really do your homework if not you might get burnt !! Anyway, SenQ is NOT installing. Its sub out to a third party. Try to find out who they are first!! |
