got strato 2 now? wow.
strato 1 i like, but too expensive.
cos 1 trigger + 2 receivers already RM450 or so.
only highlight is the trigger got ttl passthru, if that one not important just go for the cheaper ones out there.

Get the above from lahAHMAD's sony NEX thread.

expensive....
*
means J1 with 10-30mm lens when retailers get it should be around rm2k flat.
thought would be much cheaper, cos if follow USD that J1 kit retail is USD649, which is the same as D3100 kit retail price.
guess stupid nikon here mark-up the price cos just launch.

Quick Q,

are there any extended warranty options for Nikon body purchase in Malaysia?
*
from nikon malaysia officially, no.
a certain retailer offers a 1+2, meaning 1yr from nikon, and 2yrs from them...but of cos sells at full retail price.

Owhh my bad... hehe
Its the D7000...
*
shashinki that 3250 is not retail, its their own selling price, elsewhere is cheaper.
retail price i think nikon puts it close to rm4k.
market price for body only now should be around rm2.9-3k.

Last week, I played with my D7000 Auto mode and manual mode. With the same aperture, shutter speed, ISO and flash setting, I found that image taken using Auto mode looks better in terms of colour. Any particular reason?

When I viewed the picture taken in the camera, i press up or down on the mode dial, the setting of ISO, shutter speed and aperture for both pictures taken will appear, it is exactly the same ISO, shutter speed and aperture. the ONLY difference is there is some "AUTO thingy" shown at the most bottom right for the the picture taken by AUTO mode! Anyone know what is this which cause the difference between 2 photos taken?

Thanks.

probably the D-lighting taking effect.

This one the adapter design is different from my older 48EX, but also different from my friend's recent 48EX ._. sigh low quality parts from AIPO.

the earlier batches had voltage issues etc, the more blocky type that doesnt look like handphone ones seem pretty stable already.

the J1 / V1 is over-priced.
if u compare USD pricing, J1 should be priced around what D5100 body is, so here around RM1.7k...but J1 nikon selling RM2.2k?
plus not many dealers will have stock for at least the next month, so nikon and their top dealer will just milk as much money as possible...until it drops down to what it should be tongue.gif

Added on October 27, 2011, 7:00 pmif i going for compact, my next aim is the olympus zx-1 or fuji x10.
imo, getting nex defeats the purpose of compact since the lens is big anyway...must as well just carry ur dslr around or buy a d3100 tongue.gif

As with all compacts, don't hope for excellent high ISO noise control on the XZ-1. That and the video is the only downside of the XZ-1. But the f/1.8 Zuiko lens (up to f/2.5 at 112mm) is to die for. Edge sharpness excellent even at wide open. Focusing is plenty fast too. Got it because of those features.
*
the X10 is f/2.8 at 112mm, so not much difference, but it does have a slightly bigger sensor...also has a bigger price tongue.gif

hi guys, what your opinion about this item?
Glasses model HoodEYE eyecup for Nikon Square Eyepieces
Just the Facts:
New oversized eyecup, designed specifically for use with glasses.
Comfortably seals out ambient light
Self Locking mount keeps eyecup in place
Slides over eyepiece mounting rails
Eyecup rotates to accommodate right or left eyed shooters
Hypoallergenic silicon rubber eyecup
*
in general sounds like a good idea for specs wearers.
but when u shoot in portrait orientation, then its going to get irritating.
a traditional round eyecup still best.

I'd say avoid Fotokem, unless they offer you a good deal; Most of the time, they will cheat and lie to Customer, they'll do all sorts of tricks, like pretend checking their computer, or take calculator and "tok tok tok", scratch their head, look stress, then show you the price, which is still SO HIGH. Then maybe if you tell them the price you can get outside, they'll give you the shocking look and tell you, that's their cost price, maybe even show you their price list, and tell you they only earn you RM50, LOL EPIC
Then if they still want to push further they might tell you stories like outside probably giving FAKE battery, etc. all sorts of stories to convince you that their price is better and guarantee genuine.

If you feel their acting is top notch, maybe you can buy from them as a complement to their first class acting. They're sometimes even better than some local actors.
It supports UHS-1 and I think it should be ok. This is just the 45MB/s, and it's discontinued, replaced with 90MB/s version.
*
actually u need to know the workings of the system and cant simply blame the staff.
a couple of photo companies i know, their cost price is actually not dealer price, but minimum selling price set by their HQ which is of cos a marked up price from dealer price, and its not possible for normal staff to sell at a lower price since the computer wont accept it.
so depending how much the HQ marks up, well the HQ needs to protect its ass also with so many branches.
if all their staff sell at very minimum profit margin, who want to pay their salary and expenses etc?
