If you're on crop DX body and if your subject is 10 feet away, DoF is 2.24 feet. That's more than enough to get the person's eyes, ears, nose in focus. If subject is further away, the bigger the DoF.

If you're on FX body, DoF is 3.41 feet when subject is 10 feet away.

Not need for F/4 all the time. Depends on subject distance and what focal length you use... 17mm at wide open f/2.8 can give a total DoF of 18.3 feet when your subject is 10 feet away from you. That's a lot of DoF to begin with. When your subject is further away, the DoF becomes bigger.

Isn't nanocoat some coating that reduces flare?

Yup, you're right. I wasn't comparing DoF from DX and FX bodies. Just the kind of DoF you get from the lenses.

But yes, same FoV and the DX gets more DoF while FX is thinner.

I was looking at their smaller bags like the UD but I thought it was cheaper the other time. I may be wrong. I compared the time I got my Thinktank Airport Acceleration V2 a few months back and the price now almost doubled. Is that correct?

Kata bags are not bad and I used to like them too. But the 3N1 30 that I have does not hold my lenses so well after a while. The strap stretches over time and the bag also loses it's shape and therefore the lenses can move about in the bag.

I'm actually more interested in the Bumblebee 222UL that you have. Looks like it somehow improves over the older Kata bags with the aluminum frame and memory foam strap? How much did you get it for? Where?
