I'm more worried with the humidity combo with rain + snow causing internal damages. While I was at China, it rained, snowed and hardly see the sun. Temperature is like in between 5C~ 20C. Because as I mentioned, when I moved from cold area to warmer area, the side of the LCD screen on the body got water coming out.
The snow immediately disappear when it hits the lens.

Yes, I have a UD35 v1. It is able to fit in my 10" netbook. It might be able to fit 13"... not so sure about that. My 10" netbook goes in horizontally, maybe a 13" MBA can go in vertically. But if vertical it also accept until certain height because when storing a DSLR + grip, a portion will be folded.

My 2 cents, if you are buying the bag for travel I suggest don't attach your grip.
