QUOTE(chiahau @ Nov 12 2011, 09:53 AM) Of course. But for people who wants extra bit of sharpness and a good piece of glass, Zeiss has no competition even from the 85G.... SOS? I've tested the Zeiss 85mm before, but I think its the older version... somehow I don't think it is all that sharp as per the hype. And found this MTF data here, The Nikkor is pretty much better in terms of sharpness, which is actually tally with what I have experienced. Yes its sharper than Nikkor at f/1.4, but it comes with lousy AF. Fast but inconsistent. And also lousy corner performance as the MTF table I've shown.

QUOTE(hackerzx @ Nov 13 2011, 12:41 AM) try to look lense hood for 52mm so hard to get it..any idea? You need to look for a hood specially designed for your lens, not by thread size. QUOTE(Str33tBoY @ Nov 13 2011, 12:46 AM) ani D7000 user with ori grip here...? my fren one macam not so firm... and sometimes might get power cut coz of batterygrip loose when taking vertical photo... he is with 70-200... do u all encounter same problem...? Friend's D7000+MB-D11 has no issue with 70200 VR2. Are you sure it is original? Since the counterfeit made in China looks very similar.

QUOTE(noobie1 @ Nov 13 2011, 12:35 PM) okay..will try look at that later. but so far i don't have batt grip yet(not sure in the future)..so that not a problem(at least for now). It will be an issue if you get a grip later on, best to look for bags that is able to hold DSLR with grip.

That lens is like RM300~400 only right? I think your cleaning fee much more.

QUOTE(BenSow @ Nov 13 2011, 08:45 PM) Hey guys, back from camp, Broga was awesome Got dirt all over my sling bag.. Pics coming up soon.. I was looking at the MTF chart on dpreview and was wondering What is changed throughout the test? I saw the horizontal axis wrote Center, 33%, 67% and corners.. What does that mean? Ex. http://www.dpreview.com/lensreviews/sigma_...4_c16/page5.aspAll lens are sharp at corners, but becomes worse at the edge. MTF in layman terms, how sharp the lens is. The higher the better.

You do own a 24-70 isn't it, if that's the case I don't think 80200 is sharp wide open. VR2 then is sharp wide open .

QUOTE(gnome @ Nov 15 2011, 08:23 AM) Ditto. My copy of 80200 two touch kinda soft wide open . Also the 70-200 VR1 has AF-S means the focusing will be more accurate apart from silent focusing, not to mention faster too (i think ) Also since you already have a Nano coat lens, you'll be surprise how much different the colours would be compared to non nano coat lens like the 80200...heck even my 50mm F1.8G has better color rendition+contrast image compared to the two touch I know why, must be due to the BOOOOKEEEEHHHH (copying Kai's style) effect compared to the 2470 which makes the focused part looks sharper than it is
