No wonder it was working intermittently. I tried reset and setup again it works for awhile then gone and I finally gave up thinking could be my specific configuration that causing bugs within the software.

Thanks man for the research.  So the CRS is not supporting LACP, only static bonding without any control protocol.
The biggest effort is actually pulling the cable between the floors. I actually don't mind whether it is a copper or fiber, the cost is not that significant (apart from additional cost for the SFP/SFP+). Redundancy is important, that's why I am pulling two cables. I can start with 1G if I want and replace it with a 10G SFP in the future. But yeah, thanks for the input.

Cat8 is insanely hard to terminate, and buying premade means you will always have extra length.

Just get Cat6a and terminate it and it’ll still do 10Gbps

Cat6A is enough for next 5-10 years. (The standard longevity for standard quality ethernet cable is around 8-10year)
When the time higher speed release for public, the cable is out of tech already.
And Cat8 cable is super thick.

And Remember to test the cable before fully finishing renovation to ensure the cable is okay to be use.
I had bought a short Cat8 Ugreen cable in few years ago,and the cable seems like having some issue,that will flip the speed rate and sudden disconnect and reconnect.
